The Next Tournament
I suggest Fayul and feuerdrache should discuss amongst themselves how they want to do this. Maybe it'll be MT-style where you guys accept submissions, post them, and everybody calculates. Maybe you'll collaborate on doing it the way I did it. Maybe one of you doesn't want to do it anymore and the other one will do it the way I did it. Dunno :-B But when you find out, post a thread asking for submissions.
Anyway, you're going to want this. It's the 3CB calculation program, written by Hivemaster. It's in Java, so if you're in Windows it'll take some finagling to work.
Run cardblind.class to start the applet. A subfolder includes the data from nearly every 3CB from 78-107 as well as matchups.txt, a 1MB .txt file (older versions of TextPad may not open it, but you won't need to since the program updates it automatically) that contains every matchup I've ever entered into the 3CB program. If you put in "Anurid Scavenger; Black Lotus; Char" in the first box in the program, and "Eladamri's Vineyard; The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale; Treetop Village" in the other, it will search matchups.txt and report that the matchup is indeed 0-6. If you enter one it hasn't seen before, you'll need to tell it the answer, but it'll know from then on. MOST of the calculations in matchups.txt are correct, but sometimes when I recieve a correction I'll correct it on the thread and not in the program, so take everything with a grain of salt.
To get the standard "results" layout, simply open up whatever # 3CB you want in the program, then change to another 3CB. In the CardBlind folder will appear "107results.txt" or whatever number you're doing.
Bugs and things to look out for:
1) If you enter a name incorrectly, the procedure to remove the name and reenter it is shaky, so be careful.
2) It starts out with "Goblinboy" as the first player automatically. DO NOT USE THIS AS MY ENTRY. You know all those times I posted a grid that started in "0"? That's because I forgot to delete Goblinboy, the 0 player, from the grid that week. Put the deck "test; test; test" for Goblinboy and give it 6-0 vs every deck. Then it's easy, when the grid is created, to take out his long row of 6-6-6-6-6-6-6... and everybody else's 0- at the beginning. When putting in my actual entry, use the name "GOblinboy" and then change it in the .txt file when you're ready to post.
3) Correct spelling counts if you want it to recognize the matchup.
4) When switching from one 3CB to another in the program, sometimes player names will carry over from the first to the second. Make sure that, say, if you're working on 3CB #108 and want to create the grid, don't go to #107 or it might screw up #107. Instead go up to #109 and delete 109's .txt files before starting to work in earnest on it.
It seems complicated, but once you've used it a bit you get the hang of it and it's really useful.
I'm not sure if either of you are interested in keeping up the website, but if so I can try to get you FTP access, or give you the HTML files if you'd prefer your own hosting.

*Salutes* Meh. Terrible week for me in every card blind-seems consistent for me. Here's to Goblinboy's moderation, and let's hope we can keep this alive. If you need any assistance in running this, just ask me.

To the players: How do -you- want the Card Blinds ran? Doing it with two people and having it work out the same way is nigh impossible.
However, I've had a quasi-idea. I don't know if it would work: We have "3CB Classic", Which is all normal formats all the time, and "New 3CB" Which would be specialty formats.
drache, adn the rest of the players: Thoughts on this?
Also, Re; This week: Good -god- I misread the metagame. I thought dark ritual would be tech because people woudl be playing Evermind/Shoal or something like that. Geez.
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, the wisdom to know the difference, and a ****ing chainsaw.
Thanks for modding for us GB. A lot of times my week would have this as it's sole high point. Sad, to some degree, but noneoftheless, it still is just damn fun.

9 - Hivemaster: Darksteel Reactor; Humility; Icatian Store (-1/-1)
vs
15 - Xyre: Black Lotus; Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant; Treasure Hunter (40 life)
Listed as 6-0 to Xyre
Should be 6-0 to Hivemaster
Reason: He can only do about 10 damage to me before my humility kicks in, at which point all his creatures become 0/0s. A flipped rune-tail doesn't alter much.
