First thing's first: Wasteland is staying legal. It was a little more influential this week than I'd like, but after a while usage will die down and storage lands will be playable again.
Second thing: Give me two weeks for 3CB #100. Classes start... oh... TOMORROW, so it might be difficult to work on it. But fear not, you'll get to submit decks for #101 soon enough.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
The 3CB Site Has MOVED!!! I have purchased my own domain name & such. The new site is at http://3cb.DratItAll.com.
1 - Goblinboy: Isamaru, Hound of Konda; Plains; Swords to Plowshares
Why the Hell Not Dammit why do I keep making decks and then other people submit the same deck . I suppose this one was kinda obvious, though.
2 - Whamme: Black Lotus; Black Lotus; Visara, the Dreadful
I've got a bad feeling about this...
3 - dasheiff: Eladamri's Vineyard; Treetop Village; Wasteland
Stealing my own tech
4 - halinn: Chalice of the Void; Soldevi Sentry; Wasteland I hate you. The inability to hose anything but Lotus and Moxen kinda made the Chalice ineffectual, combined with the fact that this deck doesn't really want to get rid of its own land. I'd still say that City would be the correct play here.
5 - Tahn: Isamaru, Hound of Konda; Plains; Swords to Plowshares
Back to Basics
6 - Shadowlord: Black Lotus; Black Lotus; Minion of the Wastes
GOGOSuicideBlack.dec
7 - Belgareth: Eladamri's Vineyard; The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale; Treetop Village
If goblinboy ban's TET I will hurt him "If Goblinboy bans TET I will hurt him. :p" [/grammar Nazi]
8 - Stax: Black Lotus; Indentured Djinn; Wasteland
Random.dec Nice pick here with the Djinn. I was trying to think of "Lotus/Wasteland/Fatty" decks but for some reason didn't think of Djinn and so didn't play one.
9 - bertrand: Pithing Needle; Soldevi Sentry; Wasteland
Hooray for unbannings! Same Wasteland/Sentry anti-synergy as with halinn's deck. Needle certainly does find a nice niche alongside Wasteland, though. I wonder if the card will pick up in popularity, especially considering that this is the first time since the Saviors release that this card with such potential has been played.
10 - Chimpanzee: Black Lotus; Black Lotus; Visara, the Dreadful
I <3 Gorgons
11 - Mr. Gnomeitall: Arrogant Wurm; Lion's Eye Diamond; Wasteland
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
12 - Silver Seraph: Apocalypse; Black Lotus; City of Traitors
Doomsday is near MAN you got close. 2-2s straight across except for two 1-4s. Ah well, better luck next time.
13 - RafaelK: Granger Guildmage; Quirion Ranger; Taiga
Die, Thallids, Die Really nice combo here. This week tended to concentrate more on fatties, but in a metagame packed with 2/2s, I can't see this deck running over everything.
14 - Beaker: Black Lotus; City of Traitors; Meloku, the Clouded Mirror
Meloku, Mirror of Victory
15 - Avatar: City of Traitors; Incinerate; Isochron Scepter I <3 Belgareth!
16 - spiritual herder: Black Lotus; Iwamori of the Open Fist; Wasteland
Bulletproof Monks Iwamori makes his first (as far as I can remember) 3CB appearance! The drawback only came into play once, vs Meloku (vs Visara you'd lose anyway), but overall it's still a good 4-drop. As good as Lavaborn Muse or Eater of Days? Not quite sure about that, yet.
17 - herohammer: Black Lotus; Black Lotus; Visara, the Dreadful
Old netdecks CAN learn new tricks.
18 - Lone Warrior: Eladamri's Vineyard; Forest; Words of Wilding
Oh well. At least I tried.dec
19 - Bluemage76: Black Lotus; Eater of Days; Wasteland
Fast Food
20 - Greebo: Black Lotus; Energy Field; Flying Men
Insert Obvious Flying Circus Joke Here
21 - aurorasparrow: Black Lotus; Preacher; Wasteland
Hedging my bets Another good creature to sit next to Wasteland. Deals with those Mishra's Factories that so often annoy the Preacher decks (not that they showed up this week) and many of the non-creature based decks.
22 - bateleur: Aura of Silence; Black Lotus; Treasure Hunter
Silent White
23 - feuerdrache: Isamaru, Hound of Konda; Plains; Swords to Plowshares
Three Inches
24 - Dusk_: Imaginary Pet; Mox Sapphire; Wasteland
Mirage in the Desert Imaginary Pet has never felt more at home.

Heh. Totally misread the metagame. I expected Crack/Thallid to show up a lot, and... not so much.
The alternate plan was Taiga/Quirion Ranger/Whipcorder which gets done over by Tabernacle and Crack but which is obviously awesome vs random fatties... except against Visara, which was the fatty I expected most. Still would have won a few more games than this did.
Edit: Of course, since it gets done over by Tabernacle or simply by Village/Vinyard anyway (stupid mana burn; I forgot that the Guildmage doesn't have a place to put green mana), Whipcorder was definitely the better choice vs anything but Thallids. I still can't believe there were 0 Thallids this week :/
I must say I don't like the effect on the format and would vote in favour of re-banning Wasteland. Storage lands are already quite weak and this makes them unplayable.

He doesn't have to swing with the village at all. You burn first from the Vinyard mana, so he still wins if you don't play Isamaru and just sit waiting to play StP
dasheiff: Eladamri's Vineyard; Treetop Village; Wasteland
Current: 0-6
Suggest: 6-0
For both games, I believe he can get 4 Swings in at me before I have enough Bears to chump him out. I then simply make enough Bears to attack in one fell swoop for the win.
Stax: Black Lotus; Indentured Djinn; Wasteland
Current: 0-6
Suggested: 3-3
When he goes first, he outraces me. When I go first, I just barely make it in.
Me: Forest, Vineyard
Him: Wasteland, Lotus, Djinn (burns 1, 19)
Me: Words
Him: Attacks, (burns 2, him: 17 me: 16)
Me: Upkeep, tap Forest for Words, make Bear, spend Vineyard mana in Words
Him: Attacks: (burns 2, Him: 15, me: 12)
Me: Make a bear, swing (him: 13 me: 12)
Him Attacks (burns 2, him: 11, me: 8)
Me: Make a bear, attack (him: 7 me: 8)
Him: attacks (burns 2, him 7 me 4)
Me: Make a bear, swing (him 1. me 4)
Him: Burns before reaching attack phase, I win.
If he holds back to block bears, he won't even get clsoe to winning, since he'll just shock himself every turn while I make more and more bears.
In both cases, you can't use the vineyard mana to make a bear. A hit with wasteland stops your deck from being able to produce bears, and hence you end up losing.
Tom
Read the card much? (Wasteland can only hit non-basics, and last time I checked, forests were basic lands.)
I go first:
Me: Preacher, Wasteland
Him: taiga, ranger (if guildmage I waste him then win)
Me: grab ranger (he bounces taiga)
Him: Guildmage, I waste taiga
Me: race for the win.
You can tell I've never actually played with dual lands. I thought they counted as basics, but a quick rules check tells me otherwise. I thought I was playing a wasteland-proof deck

i agree on the first.
on the second, you added an extra turn to that. the bears kill him before his sixth turn.

Allthough i did beat Belgareth :p.
i'm beginning to really like this game. the addiction has set in fully.
EDIT: amazingly, correction. :weird4:
(7) Belgareth:
Eladamri's Vineyard, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale, Treetop Village.
vs
(23) me:
Plains, Isamaru, Hound of Konda, Swords to Plowshares.
if so, this doesn't give me outright victory, but it does give us a few more points.
missed the tightest play again... not that it matters too much, though.
Me: Eladamri's Vineyard, Forest, Words of Wilding
VS...
dasheiff: Eladamri's Vineyard; Treetop Village; Wasteland
Current: 0-6
Suggest: 6-0
For both games, I believe he can get 4 Swings in at me before I have enough Bears to chump him out. I then simply make enough Bears to attack in one fell swoop for the win.
Stax: Black Lotus; Indentured Djinn; Wasteland
Current: 0-6
Suggested: 3-3
When he goes first, he outraces me. When I go first, I just barely make it in.
Read the card much? (Wasteland can only hit non-basics, and last time I checked, forests were basic lands.)
=P
21 - aurorasparrow: Black Lotus; Preacher; Wasteland
Hedging my bets
13 - RafaelK: Granger Guildmage; Quirion Ranger; Taiga
Die, Thallids, Die
is: 0-6
should be: 3-3
I go first:
Me: Preacher, Wasteland
Him: taiga, ranger (if guildmage I waste him then win)
Me: grab ranger (he bounces taiga)
Him: Guildmage, I waste taiga
Me: race for the win.
4th place at CCC&G Pro Tour
Chances of bad hands (<2 or >4 land):
21: 28.9%
22: 27.5%
23: 26.3%
24: 25.5%
25: 25.1%
26: 25.3%
i agree on the first.
on the second, you added an extra turn to that. the bears kill him before his sixth turn.
