We're going to go with Mogg's suggestion from the... Semifinals I believe? I PM you four packs, you make two decks. You use one in game 1, the other in game 2, if it goes to game 3 you get to choose. I'll put it up in the rules.
As for packs, while Lor/Mor/Sha/Eve is classy, I'd rather you guys vote on what you'd like.
(Ugh, please not Time Spiral - the whole Suspend mechanic is so painful in Limited! :-/)

Hmm. I used to draft about once a week (enough to get some feel of a format, but probably not as much as you) from Kamigawa through Lorwyn, and Time Spiral Block was one of the blocks I most enjoyed drafting.

That's fair enough, since enjoyment's a very subjective matter.
The reason I hated it is because the games were too often decided by Suspend cards, which are completely skillless but very powerful. That's not to say there weren't good things about the format too.

As for mulliganing, it will reduce both your decks' sizes by 1. it seems fair.
The thing about making two decks is that if you want to make an awesome deck the other one is probably going to be weaker. However, I'm willing to put 3 packs 2 decks as an option.
Current scores:
Time Spiral: 8
Ravnica: 5
Mirrodin: 4
Alara: 3
Urza's: 3
The Rath Cycle: 2
Shadowmoor: 2
It would be interesting to try light vs dark. If people would actually chose a mix of both, allow each player chose either the Lorywin/Morningtide or Shadowmoor/Eventide miniblock secretly, and which set they have isn't revealed until the first match.
It would be interesting to play a game where each player gets 3 random packs from different sets from all of Magic, and nobody knows what sets those are until the game starts. (The downside is some sets are much better than others) I wouldn't want to commit to a tournament of that format, but I'll play one single test game with someone if they want. (And if Alpha Werewolf can provide the randomization)

The other downside is that there's no format for which you can build your deck.
This is the trouble with mixed sets generally: the power levels are all over the place (especially for Limited).

Also, if anyone is interested, I'm willing to host a couple of practice games at a time for any pair that agree on a format. Let me know via PM and I'll start a new thread. I'll be using MWS to create packs.

GUKruphix, God of Horizons
GRXenagos, God of Revels

I would agree. Shards + Reborn sounds pretty fun.
You could have each pod be different packs, say Shm/Eve and Ala/Arb, and allow us to PM you our preference.

Also, the four pack idea wasn't mine. Might have been ced395's.

I'm very open to ideas here. As long as the basic formula is ept, this format is very flexible.
That said, I'll be away for a week starting on sunday.
