Vote for the poem(s) you feel is the best (up to two). Remember to adhere to the "Honor Code" when voting.
While it is understood there is no absolute means to monitor the intent of a vote, we ask each PRC participant to exercise integrity when voting out of respect for the contest:
- Please give each poetry submission an equal opportunity in attaining your vote.
- Please read, or at least skim, all the entries before voting.
- Please do not vote for your friends just because they're your friends.
The Poetry Running Contest puts good faith in its participants to act in an honorable manner.
Contestants, remember, you are required to vote (and you can't vote for yourself)!
Also, please leave a comment on this thread telling who you voted for as currently the polling system does not currently have the option to display that information.
Please Note, Voting Is To Be Done Via The Comments On The Thread. This Way We Can Track Who Has Voted, Foster Discussion, And Avoid Using The Currently Horrendous Poll System This Site Has.
Thank you and Happy voting!

Loved the imagery. It occasionally verged on being nonsensical, but mostly stayed within the realm of whimsy. I liked it much for the same reasons I almost voted for honeycomb; imagery with strong metaphor and easy rhythm. I just felt like honeycomb kind of got lost along the way; like instead of getting the figurative "moneyshot," it got taken in another direction that was neither close enough nor severely different enough from the rest of the piece to feel satisfying.
i wasn't sure where to go with honeybee. it changed several times. i still don't really like it - you're all right, it doesn't really ... end. i don't know what i was going for. just, that song. that song is in my head.
i have to vote for Elda 8-23 , it was very wistful, in a beautiful way.

my mouth is full of winsome lies -
and eyes are full of death besides
but luckily the soul is wise -
it sees beyond my blindness and
forced failure makes a better guise,
so as i come again alive,
it feels like life's a decent plan

I also almost voted for Honeybee, it was so close to giving me everything I wanted to get out of it.
Thanks to Xenphire @ Inkfox for the amazing new sig
