Vote for the poem(s) you feel is the best (up to two). Remember to adhere to the "Honor Code" when voting.
While it is understood there is no absolute means to monitor the intent of a vote, we ask each PRC participant to exercise integrity when voting out of respect for the contest:
- Please give each poetry submission an equal opportunity in attaining your vote.
- Please read, or at least skim, all the entries before voting.
- Please do not vote for your friends just because they're your friends.
The Poetry Running Contest puts good faith in its participants to act in an honorable manner.
Contestants, remember, you are required required to vote (and you can't vote for yourself)!
Happy voting!
*Interested new participants should submit their poems here.

I went with Blippy, because Honey Boo Boo's mom is an idiot, I suppose.
I used my second vote for fog because I was feeling a surrealist today (((take my structure how you will) innuendo never ceases)) a parenthetical poem))).
Sophia was too biblical for my tastes. And the corporate hook was jarring.
I'm not well versed in poetic knowledge, so I have to ask, what do you mean by corporate hook?
I wrote this while doing research on Valentinian Gnosticism for a friend. Did you get any sort of Zoroastrian/mystical feeling from it or did it feel more like traditional Christianity?
A "hook" is a literary or musical device to catch or hook the listener/reader. In this case:
Once again we will
dance with the logos.
I tasted (medieval?) christianity. The lamb, "he will save me", "divine light"... these ring christian to me.
Oh, maybe that was poorly done on my behalf, in part due to the esoteric nature of the poem. It was supposed to be "Logos" as in, "the divine word or reason incarnate in Jesus Christ. John 1:1–14." Sophia is the bride of the Logos, or Jesus, separated from him when she tries to understand the true nature of God. It's a central theme in Gnosticism, if not THE theme.

I don't even know how to respond to this.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say yes.

Thank you Mr. Slug, sir. It was peaceful protest against censorship. I'm glad it didn't get nuked also.
