I'm finishing mine, would still like to know what exactly is the minimum word count as I only have 3,700 words so far and will probably barely make it to 4000 words.

It all depends on who is judging. So who is judging? Any feedback judges? I just don't want this to be another month long trila before the winners are announced.
Still judging. Determining the merit of five stories, especially in relation to one another, is more than slightly difficult, especially considering the judging 'team' is one person right now.
Also doing constructive criticism for five stories.
Right. I've been busy for a bit, and I was also waiting on Dodavehu. Since it seems I'm not going to get a response, I'm going to be making a judgement.
And, by a very close margin, the winner is: mts. Congratulations.
Oh, and all numbers are at least partially made up. Reading the comments is a better idea.
