Hey, kinda like the dragon, though I really liked the "shinto gate" you had in your art for the febuary contest. Neat stuff, which version of photoshop do you use?

Thanks for the comment. I currently only use Photoshop Elements 4.0, which I've found to be the most I'll need.
Ok, Dude, You need to take a look at your basic anatomy. Your drawing look like that out of a 6 year old coloring book. Your faces are atrocious, as well as the evident attention to detail aspect.
Your clothes, they need more fabrication. More folds and wringles. It looks as if you just drew a solid polygon around thier "bodies" and colored it in. You need to work on your eyes. Do you know the three eye rule? An eye is supposed to fit in between the actual eyes. Also, Last time i checked, when you make a fist, your fingernails don't show. The hand just look god awful. They're like rubber. Never in my life have i seen hands bend that way before. Again take a look at an anatomy book. You obviously have no idea on how to form muscle structure and skeletal structure. Proportion proportion proportion. You lack it. In none of your pictures have i seen a bit of normal proportions on any of your bodies. OR the moxen. This is HARDLY art.
If you're going to provide criticism, do so in a civil and constructive manner. Infraction for flaming —Rax
It's not horrible stuff, but there are still a lot of problems. My biggest issue is that I see a lot of photoshop tools used in place of actual painting. The one I see too much is the smudge tool, which blurs everything and doesn't really shade. You said you have a tablet? So it shouldn't be too difficult to do some actual shading in the pics. Just in general, avoid using any filter or most of the tools to make things in photoshop. Paintbrush and Eraser work just fine If you start using the tools too much, you'll have them as a crutch when you "can't" do something.
And like always, work on anatomy, like everybody else in the whole world
I feel like you have a very unique style... it's off the mark sometimes for one reason or another but when you do something well (which you usually do) it's just fantastic. From a critic's point of view, i think you do inanimate things better than people/creatures (the swirly vortex dagger and the shinto gate are cool). I like to draw myself, but i'm awful at it. Just keep trying to improve your form. I noticed that you use colored pencils, which aren't bad, but most other people use sharpies and paint markers and it seems to work for them. Keep up the good work!:)
Hey did you go to an art school? It's just your stuff needs more improvements I think. Your creativity is there but you definitely need to practice more on getting the proper anatomy on your drawings. I'm not great at drawing but since my wife is good at it. She would always tell me that anatomy is very important not just the idea or creativity on anything that you draw. Keep it up tho just try to draw easier stuff and get the anatomy right. Cheers!!

All of my art skills were either self taught or limited to what early art schooling I took as a child.
Everyone says anatomy is very important, and I agree, but I try to work out side the box, trying to make something appealing with very limited schooling. I don't try to say "you can't blame me for my bad art because I refuse to study" I try to say "I don't study art, form, anatomy, etc, but does this interest you?"
