This month's theme is slightly different from what we've done in the past (I thought I'd take it in a different direction after last month's low turnout). Your job is to create a piece of artwork relating to robots or technology in general. This could be a sci-fi piece, or it could be an interesting image using someone more realistic technology, it's up to you. I'm interested to see what you guys will come up with for this one.
I don't' think too many people are thrilled about this one. Perhaps change the idea? There's a whole thread of ideas at the top of this forum that allot of us are waiting for to get used. I don't think allot of us like the whole robots and technology thing, that's why we love fantasy! YAY!!!!???!!!??///

Do we tie it in with MTG or are we talking "make a sci-fi thing" in general? You looking for techno-llanowar elves and such or do you mean something else? Normally, all contests (even remotely) have to tie back into MTG somehow. I just need a clarification if I'm gonna do this

I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.

Not that I mind this theme, but I am surprised you didn't use one of the many ideas in the thread above.
To be perfectly honest, I kind of forgot about that thread while I was coming up with this contest. Hopefully we'll get some entries and I'll likely use one of the ones in the thread next month.

I'm not exactly sure what I had in mind. techno-llanowar elves would be awesome and I think a sort of fantasy-esque sci-fi piece would be very fitting. That said, I'm really open to anything people want to thrown in as long as it has a robotic/technological feel to it somewhere.
My entry (maybe subject to some minor revisions, but that's pretty much it).
I originally started with this, but I ran into the Mazinger angel Soul of Chogokin toy line and lmao'd at the various oppai missiles (yeah, very mature of me). Mazinger isn't as nearly as amusing as his companions.
My entry:
Taking the most technologically advanced piece of equipment ever made (at least for Mirridon block), and adding Biological qualities to make it more life like:
The new and improved Skullclamp is better then ever, sporting a sexy lookin claw, red gooey baby arms and legs, and a face only a mother could love it's ready for a reprint in the not to soon future!
Apologize that I haven't been online for a week and a half and therefore didn't post this sooner, but since this contest started late, it will run through the end of this weekend (Sunday, October 5). I may post the next contest between now and then just to get the ball rolling, but I figured I'd give everyone an extra day or two (especially since I wasn't around myself).
Quick, everyone! Form a search party, Krashbot is missing!

But on a side note; a lot of very interesting bio/mechanical submissions this month. Nice to know Phryexia isn't that far from the minds of MTG sally's Blooming artists.
