Well, we are back on schedule for wallpaper weeks, but I wanted it to be different than before. The wallpaper weeks were always a hit or miss for a lot of people, so I wanted to do something more with it. We are going to move forward into desktop themes (I will give examples and how it might be done) BUT I feel that I might be pushing the talent a little bit here and I don't want to scare anyone off.
This kind of week won't happen often, but it is something different and might be too difficult to imitate.
Theme: Create a Wallpaper and Make a Theme that complements it.
Medium: Wallpaper sized image
There is no set theme, but these images are kind of what is going through my mind ::
Hopefully there is an example for everyone's level of talent.
This can be created entirely in photoshop from scratch, or you can make a wallpaper and apply it. Then, capture the screen and bring it into your editing program for color tweaks and icon placements. I AM NOT SAYING CREATE A DESKTOP THEME AT ALL, just make it look like one
I want you to push yourself this week, but if you must stay in your comfort zone, please do so. I'd rather just have attempts and more entries than one or two because people didn't feel they were up to it.
I made the entire wallpaper on GIMP just using brushes. I was fairly pleased.
EDIT: Rereading that, it doesn't seem as clear. I copied and pasted icons, cropped a bar out of a desktop theme I found and took off all of those MSN chats that were minimized on it, resized and pasted on there. Added the text on my own.
