Greetings! I was hoping to find a very talented renderer that could do a nice cut of Karador here. I need it for a couple sigs but when I try to do it myself it looks too rough.
Oooh, that has got to be a pain. I would not use a render for him. Try placing the whole image on the left, then use layers of distortion and other images above it to achieve a renderesque effect.
I did it with this one and It still looks pretty good.

Although it is a good idea the issue I have is that Karador is very bright and his background very dark. Since Karador is the main subject of a few sigs already I would like to centerpiece him with a lighter background to help him blend with the other cards.
The advantage Ghaves has over that is that he is dark as well as his background so he melds a lot better.
What's wrong with Bleeding Cowboys? I like that one.
It's overused and abused (as in, used when a person isn't quite sure what something needs...so they just slap on bleeding cowboys and call it good.). It has terrible particulate spread, and just about anyone can replicate it's style with a default font and some imagination (or even a default font and a brush pack). We call them fancy fonts in the professional design world, and use them very sparingly, only when appropriate. Bleeding Cowboys/Birth of a Hero is just as atrocious as Papyrus and Comic Sans, imo. The use of any of the aforementioned fonts is a pretty good indicator of an inexperienced designer.
But what about Papyrus? I heard that's a good font too
hohoho
I know right? I use it on EVERYYYYYTHING. Especially restaurant menus and niche small business signs, and its perfect for school flyers and anything considered "ethnic". Hehehehe.
Ok, I can get behind hating on Papyrus, but I think that Birth of a Hero isn't wildly overused. It's simply a good modernesque grunge font.
Well, its certainly not as bad as cowboys. Honestly though, why not use a better modern sans serif and just distress it yourself instead of slapping the oh so easily recognizable birth on there? Century Gothic, Avant Garde, Frutiger, Interstate, Lubalin Graph...all can be used in most applications birth can. Add your own distress and you have a truly original creation.

Thanks for the advice though.

These can get a lot better, but you come to a point where you gotta say that's enough time, and they look good enough.

From DesignM.ag:
"Personally, I have my own list of fonts that I think may have become a bit overused in recent times. These include: Bleeding Cowboys, Birth of a Hero and (to my great disappointment) even the wonderfully crafted Museo."

Thanks a bunch for the render Rizla, I know it will be very useful in the future since he is such a popular commander.
Already used it in a sig and it cut down the total work time drastically.
