Well... I cant say much about your aleration. Try to be careful when you follow the original lines.
Yeah I had only noticed that I messed up when following the original lines when viewing the card in the much much higher resolution provided by my families scanner. Kind of sucks now that I look at it. But in all honesty, it looks much much nicer at the lower resolution

My last alteration. It is for one of my friends on a bit damaged card and I wast careful when I was erasing so it might look unfinished. However I think he will be happy.
ps: when I post here my first alter, noone wrote something about it :-D
I did the same thing to my Vaevictis Asmadi. He has really horrible art for an Elder Dragon, so I tried to add a little "majesty."
One of the reasons that Ed Beard was against the alters was not the altering of cards but the Selling of altered cards. I only mention because of the PnP famous paintings coming up. If you intend to enter (Which I do if I can decide what my most favorite painting is) then I would advise against selling the cards on an auction site. I fear that copying famous painting to sell on; would create a s**t storm.
And I like my rain to be acid only.

This particular altered art is in my collection of cards either are in various EDH decks or that will eventually go into an EDH deck. I don't sell or trade those cards. So in otherwords Ed Beard has no need to worry about me when it comes to copy right issues.
You make a valid point however that I probably shouldn't have mentioned Ed Beard in my initial post regarding the Altered Art. I will keep that in mind in the future with regard to any potential future alters that I do in reference to Ed Beard. However I don't see myself doing anymore with regard to him, with the possible exception of a Nicol Bolas that is in my Sedris EDH deck. However I may not even do that one, Who knows.

Those are awesome!! I've seen the 1st and 3rd in your Bucket before...but that Wheel is new. One little problem though. In the mini-games from Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS...the host of the roulettes mini-game is Luigi. No actual problems with the painting itself though...good job.
If I could add one more thing, it would be to take off the numbers on the wheel and replace them with the hearts, skulls, cups and swords from the original.
God**** I wish I thought of doing that. Brilliant!
Me too. I have been calling it the "Blue Fork" for a few years now, but never visualized it. Kitty, those are as witty as they are well executed. I also love the expansionless version way more than the M10. Subtle, yet adds another layer to the humor I read into them.

I can't take credit for the idea, that goes to the person that ordered the commission (Magic player from Québec) , but you are right it is a pretty sweet idea!
hey CardKitty...have you ever thought of re-hosting your gallery in an extendo over in the testing grounds? I've never once been able to view your art becuase your site has never once loaded for me. Possible geography reasons.

I pulled a signed Tropical Island {Hidden Treasure}, but I had no idea there were alt cards like this snuggled away in packs.
I have 2 Time Vaults....and that scan makes me want to get one alt now. Sweet post,

I don't remember anybody caring about mine either but TBH I was in such a rage about people interrupting me mid card that it was probably for the best.
On the actual alter: that looks like a purple sharpie, possibly of the mini variety but definitely not of the ultra fine or double ended variety. if you plan on doing a lot of sharpie alters, I suggest picking up a collection of double ended ones.
I found the best way to learn to keep to the lines and draw straight was to underline things freehand with somebody sat behind me telling me to use a ruler constantly.
