So in case someone was looking for inspiration on alters I came up with what I think would be cool. The theme I am suggesting is Full Metal Alchemist alters on the following cards (specifically a modern Grixis deck):
How do you post pictures and format things here? I think I have finally decided to start posting here but I'm too computer stupid to figure it out
You can click on the "Upload an Image" button in the bottom left to attach up to 5 images to a post. If you have images somewhere else on the internet you want to show off you can use the Picture icon in the toolbar (Ctrl+P) and paste the URL into that field. If those images are large we prefer you put them in a Spoiler tag so like so:
Very nice style Bristol. I would work on fundamentals, some of the proportions on the characters are a little wonky.
If you like his style, you're supposed to understand those unreal details are part of it (perhaps you could revisite his old portfolio).
I would like to contribute with a suggestion for your work too: I would try to work text boxes in a more polite way. Such things usually feel horribly distracting from the rest of the piece.
@Bristol: Nice to see you're back! I'm back too, and I'm trying to get used into my brushes again.
Those are awesome, Spade. As well as those lands, BlackBull
I recently got a new Akroma, Angel of Wrath. Inspiration I had was if Akroma were a character in the Dark Souls videogame series. Apparently she defeated Artorias and took his armor for her own
Thanks, SimicN! You Akroma is just beautiful. Your work on the details is awesome (EDIT: Do u use anything else other than acrylics? I would even say that piece could be done with watercolor, pretty nice).
Shoot. Totally forgot to credit the artist, CerealAlters! Check them out (Tumblr/facebook/Instagram by the same name). This is my third altered card by them. As far as I know, acrylics and some pigments mainly.
