I like the Goyfs, and I LOVVVVE the Ponder.
But the one Goyf on the bottom right ...
<->
lol, I guess the pose is similar. Honestly though, I didn't use a reference or anything. And at least it's the picture of Craw Wurm I actually like. :3
More alters on the way, I ran into some problems so everything was backlogged.
I've always found feet, especially boots, to be one the easier aspects to draw. Is there something about them that doesn't come across well in paint? For every awesome alter I see (especially PW's) the feet just always seem off.
I missed those plier-like tusks that the original goyf had, but I appreciate that he looks a bit closer to the other playable lhurgoyf around (not that much, though).
Wow, there were some amazing pieces posted recently; it's almost enough to discourage me from posting my own.
But here are some dragons anyway.
the background on the spellbound looks too flat and doesn't come across as real at all and all of them suffer hugely where you've drawn in the edges of the box.
don't take it too personally though, as both a perfectionist and a huge dragon fanatic, I have yet to see an altered dragon without faults that nag at me for weeks.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
@Masamune - Awesome. Just awesome. Your style is just brilliant to look at
@spankme - Did you use metallic paints on that Bird of Paradise? If you did, it looks good; if you didn't, it still looks good And I love the little glowing critters on that Ponder, looks wonderful
@V 4 Vendetta - That's a lot of work that went into those playsets, thar. Both of them look amazing, all the details were well done It's hard too keep track of what's part of the card and what's painted
Now that that's done, here's something that pales in comparison
Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on with the bottom half of the Sarkhan Vol Art. Please? Here is my take on it, but Daarken's art work doesn't make any sense to me. Are those supposed to be Dragon Eggs too? Anyway...
Edit: That bright yellow just looks terrible, so that's going to get changed. And, after obtaining a better picture to work with, I think I can make a bit more sense out of Sarkhan's Skirt.
And here is a Time Spiral I am working on. I have usually been a fan of dark bottomed cards since it helps guide the eye back to the focal point, but I think I need to add something to the bottom. We shall see.
Wow, the black around the corners really shows up after being scanned. Oh well. I'm also getting rid of my signature until I can do something a bit more tasteful.
Also, some people PMed me about commissions and such, but I am horrible at checking my PMs (apologies to those who did message me), so I've put a link in my sig for such things for anyone that may be interested.
But here are some dragons anyway.
Spellbound Dragon
I love this guy so much. I hope I get to swing with this at FNM tomorrow.
Numot, the Devastator
This was a commission for an Elder Dragon Highlander deck. The guy gets it tomorrow, hopefully he likes it.
Intet, the Dreamer
Numot got me thinking about getting into EDH myself, and naturally a pimpin' general is the most important thing.
I think I need to get some kind of white pen or a finer brush for my signatures.

Yeah, thinner brush for the sig, definitely.
