About Frox: for nearly 10 years, Frox has been helping women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories.
This morning the front page of the site had (for me, at least) an ad on it which:
* Autoplays audio.
* Autoplays video.
* Automatically chains into a second ad when the first one ends.
The first of these is completely unacceptable to me. The second is pretty poor form too and I don't really want ads that do this unless there's no alternative for the site. The third doesn't bother me personally, but it occurs to me that if the site isn't getting paid twice when that happens then you're being ripped off by the advertiser.
(Note that not all the ads which can appear in that location are behaving in this way.)
Edit: Finally got the noisy ad again and grabbed a screenshot.

The last few times I've gone onto the forums my antivirus keeps telling my a threat has been blocked. Has anyone else gotten the same thing? Is there a reason for this?

i keep getting alerts from avast about malware from "quizride.org" when i go to mtgs. i spend my time almost exclusively in the cube forum and the rumor mill, and it's come up on all different threads in those places.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I'm also getting notifications for quizride. It often pops up on old pages on this site, like when I Google a ruling and click on a link where the last post is during or before 2011.
This banner ad and others referring to www.usagc.org is a scam site aimed at immigrants to the USA wanting to get into the green card lottery. Since I'm on the iPad I can't directly upload the screenshot.
Definitely something fishy lurking around here. Malwarebytes is blocking items every time I visit MTGS. Logging into a temporarily unprotected computer and visiting, then scanning, I had a 'Maljava' Trojan, which appeared to be the blocked item. You should look into that one.
I have gotten this ad in my phone a few times, and I got it a while ago on my laptop as well. It pops a "window" right in the middle of the screen. It even circumvents AdBlock (which I have in my laptop). I had forgotten to upload the screenshot, but today this strange window appeared again (laptop).

I received the above message at work. I've been able to access this site for over 2 years including yesterday. Not sure what has changed.

what's changed is there's been malware all over the site for at least a month. i'm not sure how long it usually takes to fix a problem like that but a month does seem like a rather long time. i continue to run into malware alerts here daily, including yesterday most recently.

So I toda was at work today on a different computer (as mine was removed to be reformatted). I figured "hey, I'm done Friday anyway, I might as well check it out." Went to MTGS. No other sites. Microsoft Forefront immediately pops up and says it detected a trojan. Even without ads, MTGS is still distributing malware. Not sure how, or why, but it is. It is not happening on my computer at home. Only happens on IE. I am going to try it on another laptop that I don't use with IE to see what happens. Medfos.b is the trojan that is installed.
Cheers Frox.

Can we keep ads off the site? Or are they coming back.
Ads are off indefinitely, as far as I know.
