This is so cool. Count me in. One question... how much postage should we put on the self-addressed, stamped envelope?
Your best bet if you aren't sure is to just take it to the post office, have them weigh the cards and return envelope (ideally a bubble mailer), and they'll give you the correct stamps. Even if you send four cards and get back ten, the difference won't be enough to condemn your envelope to the labyrinth-bowels of the postal system; we're talking tenths of an ounce here.
If you're really concerned, have them put an extra few cents worth of stamps on it to ensure it survives its trip. Make sure you specify which is the return envelope. Almost all post offices now use barcoded stickers to denote where the package is coming from instead of stamps in many cases, and if you get one of those stuck on the return envelope, your cards may not make it home.
I feel bad now, I've only done two kinda fringe ones
Well, if you feel bad, then do some more! The majority of the fun in this (for me at least) is actually making the cards and thinking of new ideas for the holiday season. I'm going full out Christmas this year with nearly all my alters being Christmas themed in one way or another.

Haha, yeah, definitely gonna crack open some rare binders and do some more this weekend!

All of mine are baking and bagel themed for some reason. lol
Ah, the first cards of the season have began to roll in! Good work guys! I love this time of year.
To answer the two most common questions I've received so far:
-You can send any number of cards. Usually people tend to send 2-5, but I've received as few as one and as many as 100 before.
-I recommend 2-3 stamps for postage on the SASE. There's little cost to doing so, and it just helps ensure your cards get back to you okay.
Let me know if you have any more questions, and keep up the awesome work!
If you include both sides of the double face cards that I've done then I'm sending in a baker's dozen! Look forward to the HOT Donut token and the rare (or is it mythic rare?;)) HOT Donut token producer. All cards are Innistrad except the one that I'm sending which is BANNED IN ALL FORMATS (as far as I can tell anyway). pics will be up once They are received by the recipient.
bah.... i KNEW i should have pulled away from my current projects for a bit to do this.... *bangs head on concrete floor* .... i have some painted cards that ive done for me.... might send some of those out.... or i might try to do some x-mas themed ones... or.. i dunno. something. i do like the idea of making these things into ornaments.... i made them presents last year....
on a side note: yays the ornament lands i got from Roja a few years back are the first image... woo hooo.

Just sent mine out today; 8 cards in total made the cut, half of them holiday-themed. I beg your forgiveness for my utter lack of artistic skill. Hopefully whoever gets them is an EDH player, though I did put in at least two cards that are highly playable in Standard.
I'm almost done with mine. I had to cut the number down. I ran out of ideas. Heh. Again, I apologize for them if whomever gets them thinks they're awful.
The cards from the Slavan K. Guiser family have shipped! My wife enjoyed doing one up so much last year that she had to do more this year!
I sent out 8 cards, with one being a DFC. All but 3 are Christmas themed, and there just might be a little bit of caroling, a pretty elf in Santa's clothing, and a sad robot who is out standing in the snow. There's commons, uncommons, and maybe a rare or two in there. I've ever heard rumblings that promo card might swing over for a visit!
Are better than my 3 year old's! Who contributed these cards for the exchange.

My cards have been sent! As my artistic abilities are lacking, I ripped off an idea from the cards sent my way last year. Peekers can figure it out maybe, but I tied in an obsessive game element and only used rares this year. Yep, should be an awesome set. I took pics just in case, my receiver doesn't have a camera/scanner/is lazy.

Finally decided that I'm doing this and.... well... lets say it's mixed media. Since I'm limited on time, they won't be QUITE as good as my submissions last year, but they will be .... interesting. 3 cards, maybe more, from me.
My five were sent out last night (didn't have time to do the sixth like I'd planned). Hope whoever gets them enjoys the countless hours I spent hunched over those piece of cardboard! One of them's not very playable, but the flavour of the card was just too perfect, so hopefully you can appreciate Frosty the Snowman as something resembling art!
Also, the 3D DFC turned out pretty well! It's so cute and soft and pettable. Too bad I could only do one side...
in this way we would not mess with someone who does not want to ...
[I did it some post before]

I try to throw some fun in. I might not be able to send as nice a cards this time (one year I send a Revised Sol Ring) but it'll be cool.
