Let me start off by saying thanks for all the memories.
I can't stay in my position anymore. I don't believe in this site and it's community, and it's honestly showing. I'm not producing work I'm proud of and slogging through this just isn't enjoyable. The culmination of this was reading a thread where a user asked for real life advice regarding a deeply personal, emotional, and troubling event, and between the best advice were posts not advocating the user get help and one that went as far as to condemn the thread starter.
MTGS will likely never change. And I don't want it to at this point, because the people who like it and make it up would throw a fit if it did. If you like it here, keep liking it. If you hate it here, don't stay here. The hard lesson I've learned over my years here is that change is glacial and may never come; you guys really like your status quo.
Stop giving the staff such a hard time. Even if at times misguided, they love and work hard for this site for nothing more than agita and a seldom thanks.
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero
Quote from Stardust »
Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.
Quote from LuckNorris »
ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.
Quote from Lanxal »
ER is a masterful god who cannot be beaten in any endeavour.
I'm sorry to see you go. I always like how you were.
I'm also glad to see you go. I think that this is for the best, and you'll be, without a doubt, fine, if not better, without MTGS, and without it holding you back.
Also, out of guilt, I feel compelled to apologise - and accordingly, sorry - for participating in lone gentleman's thread and for everything else ever, considering that was the culmination of things.
Thanks for not only because a moderator around the site but for being you; awesome.

MTGS did change, you did not. I wish you farewell and maybe one day will see you come back a changed man
We have lost an MTGS hero today. Make sure you stick around. #Regards
Also what kpaca said below me. I'm breaking my not-posting(seriously)-in-CI vow because it matters. I have no doubt that you're going to stick to your guns, but it bears repeating. With 'problem moderators' on this website, they have roughly fallen into the categories of incompetent, fractured, neckbearded, or just plain controversial. You'd be the last one, because you speak the truth with candor. Some people just can't handle the truth, or handle being spoken to on a real, human level.
Kijin, please do not heed Matt's useless advice and come back a changed man. Change nothing. I can say without a doubt thta you are the best moderator this website has ever seen, and I can only hope that eventually there will be a staff member who we can even say rivals you as a pillar of everything a "moderator" should be. I think I speak for the best of us when I say you will be sorely missed.

Im sorry to see you go. I always enjoyed your straight-forward and honest and to the point commentary and views on things both posting as a mod and not. I hope you decide to stick around and contribute, even if no longer as a mod. While not everyone may have liked the idea of a mod calling it how they saw it and how it was, I found it refreshing and appreciated it, as others seem to have as well. Know that you will be missed, and I wish you the best in whatever you end up doing in the future :).

I think you're forgetting fadeblue.
fadeblue > Kijin > Arimnaes > everyone else, ever. Azrael should go somewhere in that too.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
agree'd with everyone here, we will miss you bro, you've been a pillar of the community and without impudence you went above and beyond the call of duty to serve as a herald of the modship flag. your humor will be missed.

You have grown on me through the past year or so as a mod and as a person. While initially I wasn't fond of your nature, I saw that you had good intentions always, and always had the best of the site in mind.
It will be sad to see you go, man. Good luck in the future.
Best of luck Kijin! Thanks for moderating the market street cafe so well! While blunt I often appreciated your assessment of things and felt you did the job well.
For everything there is a season. Sometimes you stay in a place because its all you know and at one time was a wonderful, comfortable place to be. It gets harder and harder to leave, even as the walls are crumbling around you. I hope you're happy wherever you may wander.
Ridiculous that this happened.
Hopefully the poster who tried to rage-bait the user in that advice thread will be infracted.
But that probably won't happen.
Because you used the phrase 'adult children' and 'neckbeard', his post where he insulted and 'called out' someone who posted about thinking about going on a shooting spree will go unpunished.
This site is having a banner week. Ravnica being real despite 'good evidence' it isn't, putting a fake on the spoiler, and now this debacle.
