Just an idea for forum renaming. Might reduce the amount of rants and threads that really belong in Magic General that have always cluttered this forum.
I don't think it'll reduce it by much since most people will still view it the same. Then the new members will see that older members use it as such and repeat the process...
Wait so you don't want people to speak their mind in the speak your mind section?

I will play what wins, not what is convenient. Personal preference is nothing, The win is all that matters. I will netdeck at every opportunity, but I will not let that stifle my creativity. Style points do not appear on tournament reports. A good deck with an incompetent pilot is nothing more than a dressed up match win. I will crush my opponent mercilessly, and expect no less from him. Victory is its own reward, The prize is just a bonus.
Legacy is dying

I certainly don't. I like stereotyping the vast majority of MTGS users as nerds, and I like stereotyping the vast majority of nerds as rather introverted. When a nerd speaks his mind, it's often inflammatory and perhaps even unnecessary. With that name, I feel tempted to write nonsense and rambling ranting, but I don't since my constraint is stronger.
I fully support the change of name, for a varied number of reasons (most already given in different terms).

But seriously, if you can't remember "Woapalanne", just call me Eli.
What exactly do you mean by "site issues"? There is already "Think Tank" for issues with the website itself.
I've always seen it like this. (All examples made up.)
Think tank - "Everything is in chinese for me."
SYM - "Sigs are too big."
Moderator helpdesk - "Why did you move my decklist to Market Street? It's not for sale."
No where - "I just want to rage about something."
Sometimes there's a little drama and nerd rage in SYM, but no one is forcing you to read every thread on MTGS. I generally stay out of SYM threads unless I see a subject that interests me.

Edit: If this is about the M10 rants, we could add something maybe saying "this is not a place to discuss the game."

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."
Site issues are issues that actually have to do with the site. Those that are not technical in nature. For instance: "I think we shouldn't have post counts." Or perhaps "Let's make avatars bigger." Or maybe "Can we add (insert word here) to the censor because it offends me?" Also: "Can we add a section to the site -just- for huge signatures?"
Things that do -not- belong here are rants about M10 and the rules changes, etc.
Let your voice be heard regarding things around the forums.
You might also notice that it's in the MTG Salvation subsection of the forum, separated from the rest of the Magic discussion forums.
All the boards in this subsection, happen to do with the website itself or are focused on actual member activities, than specifically relating to Magic, which there's a forum for almost every aspect of below this board. "Around the forums" also suggests this forum encompasses issues with the rest of the forums
I'd say it's pretty clear, unless you have a really thick skull. And the people ranting about M10 still, probably do have a pretty thick skull. They're also probably the type of users that need their hands carried through other parts of the forums as well in terms of behavior and what goes where. In other words, things like the M10 rants are exclusive to a small handful of users, and the board name really doesn't need to be changed to accomodate people that are probably helpless otherwise.
So here’s the explanation:
I wished to change my account name, so (as par the Name Change thread) I requested my account deactivated from three different mods so that I could start over with a new account.
After a week of waiting and no reply, I got sick of it. So I formally requested my name changed on the Name Change thread. After another week, I’ve decided that since no one seems to be acknowledging my legit attempts to deactivate my account, I would do it myself. By breaking every forum rule I could. It’s nothing personal, I just got sick of the mods and lousy reaction time of the forum. I am not a hateful or spiteful person. Thank you.
I think the administrator Urza needs to learn something called common courtesy too. But there's something in this site that needs improving. It's too compact or something.
Too compact? You got to be kidding me. This site has too many areas AS IT IS. We dont need a Section for something that may get 2-3 threads every few months. Just gives me reason to spam around to "fill" it up.

I like 4/4s for 7.
No, we don't - SYM is for speaking your mind on site issues, not for ranting about the game.
