Might I suggest actually NOT talking about MTGnews?
It would probably be a good idea to designate a single topic for the discussion of the MTGnews fiasco and devoting the rest of the space on the forums for discussion of other topics?
I understand that the death throws of MTGnews are big news, but do we really need 10 topics on each section of the forums talking about it? It seems to me that the fact that everyone is from MTGnews and talking about it is just dragging the forums away from the purpose they have, which is to rebuild from the ashes. All I see everyone doing here is poking the ashes with a stick and then being amused at how the ashes collapse. That mentality really won't get us anywhere.
I'd really like this forum I just joined to be something cool and interesting, instead of a bunch of people slowing down to see the accident on the other side of the highway.
I totally get your point, and I agree to a great extent, but MTGNews was a big deal for I'd say 95% of the people here. So right now, things are running extra dramatic, but they will settle out soon enough. People just need to work it out of their systems.
In the meantime, there's always the new rumored cards, deck threads and stuff to post on. Start a good discussion of something un'News related and get the ball rolling. People will chill faster with something new to talk about.
This site is about Magic and a spawn of News. If you don't like us talking about it, find another forum. At last count there were 6 News spinoffs. Now I can verify two as dead, but look for the others.

Edit: Rather stupid typo.
Don't worry. Once things die down over at News, they will here too.
