As I said in the title, how do you make a poll?

When you start a new thread there are options down near the bottom where you can add a poll.

But then what? It doesn't allow me to actually create said poll.

If I remember correctly, after you check the "Yes, post a poll with this thread" box and specify the number of options, press "Submit New Thread". You will be given an option to structure your poll thereafter.
