This is a flame? Are we losing it? That is a mild, angry post, with a little bit of sarcasm. Waop even admits that it was very very mild, but that with my history of flames (He's wrong, my infractions were for spamming, spamming, and sig infraction...Way to do your homework.) I need to stop being abrasive.
What the hell? Is this site so antisceptic that when someone makes a dumb mistake I can't point it out to them? That is absolutely ridiculous. If that is a flame, that makes this post a troll of Woap.
That sounds more warning worthy than infraction worthy. Since infractions count, I don't understand why this makes sense as an infraction: "you need to stop being abrasive".
That doesn't help. If all players are playing the same opponents (Round robin format.) then 1 and 3 are useless. If we are assuming they all have the same number of game wins, then 2 is useless.
I already looked at that before coming for help, to see how judges would answer the question if it arose at a tournament they were running.
Still a little stern, but without any venom.
As for the original question in the other thread, I'll PM you an answer once I slap a quick chart into Excel to visualize it better- I've also though about using a 'World Cup' style pod format for tourneys.
I can understand the frustration you felt due to the responses your thread was getting, but your posts were a bit harsh. You have to keep your temper reigned in, especially when the mods have already had their eye on you.
in the end it all comes down to judgement, of flawed individuals who made the rules for their site. harsh...yeah, and yet it happens. it sucks and you can rant about it but i have a feeling you SOL.
I have a feeling I am SOL too, and I also have a feeling I recieved this infraction because I was highly critical of staff, particularly woapalong in the threads which arose to discuss the banning of Butteblues and Kingcobweb. I will make sure to not post in his forums again; there are plenty of places on the internet to ask questions.
Waop even admits that it was very very mild, but that with my history of flames (He's wrong, my infractions were for spamming, spamming, and sig infraction...Way to do your homework.)
You received a warning for flaming on 5/5, and on 4/1 (which was not a joke warning). You have a brief history of flaming.
You insulted the other posters, you've done it before and been warned about it, so you got an infraction. No "omg he's out to get me" - I actually want you to keep posting in Rulings, since you do raise some interesting questions and tend to give good answers from what I remember off the top of my head. Just don't insult people while you're doing it, k?
And since certain people will insist that I'm lying and I'm out to get PJ - I don't care if you think that. I'm not going to waste any more effort trying to change your minds.

I don't think I was dancing on the line. I think I asked a question, the person who answered it ignored the only component of it that mattered, and answered in a way which assumed I was a moron.
Is it not then within my rights to point out that he had not answered the question, and to be a little angry about it? I did absolutely nothing wrong, and I will maintain that.
Woap: I have contributed to the section, it's true. If this is the kind of bull**** infractions you feel you should giving out there, then I will not be frequenting it any more. This wasn't even borderline, this was mild rebuff.
He sure did. Petroleumjelly's abrasive negativism transcended through the tubes of the intraweb and left me in a state of complete misanthropic pessimism and personal self doubt. I seriously hope appropriate action is taken against these irresponsible posters so their rebuffing does not go any further.
But what I was saying is that there was nothing to get angry about.
Jesus...
He was just trying to help you :/
There was nothing to get angry about? He ignored the only part of my question that made it difficult to answer, thus allowing him to make a post that assumed that I was a moron with regards to the rules. This upset me. It would not have upset you, if you came for help, and recieved a belittling instead?
Furthermore, whether something is enough to get angry about or not is a moot point. The question at hand is whether it was a flame, or not. And last I checked, just because a post is angry, does not make it a flame. Your last post was angry, and pointed, but it was by no means flaming me.

While it does sound a little bit irritated, I've seen far worse here, and he does have a valid point: the person didn't read the entire question.
I'll echo LFR's sentiment: maybe a warning, but an infraction seems a tad harsh.

I see PJ stressing a point in the start, and then sarcasm at the end.
