Hey guys first time poster and "relatively new" to magic.
playing a game of commander with my friends and one of them has Divine Visitation out and he playsStorm Herd with 40 life. after he plays the card but while it is on the stack another friend destorys divine visitation. since its an anthem and the Storm Herd is on the stack would it still create them as angels or would it only come in as 1/1 Pegasus? i remember reading up on the rules a while ago when i just started to get in to magic that when an anthem is in effect and is destroyed it still affects the battlefield until the next phase.
Divine Visitation has something called a replacement effect, which swaps one effect for another as it happens. In this case, the creation of each 1/1 Pegasus token will be replaced by the creation of a 4/4 angel token. That means Visitation must be on the battlefield when Storm Herd resolves for the replacement to occur. If the enchantment is destroyed, the tokens will remain as printed.
Also, that bit about "anthems" lasting past their removal isn't true. Some spells and abilities apply continuous effects until the end of the turn (when explicitly spelled out on the card), but that isn't what we're dealing with here.
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.
