Hi,
I would love to play one of the new Angels as commmander. Normally I would build a deck for both or for multiple combinations but because of the current situation I don't have the time to play more than one game in the month. So I will focus on one of them.
I like both. I am a little concerned about the hate Liesa would generate but I like the idea about the deck (Group-Slug). I know Kambal, Consul of Allocation is a thing but we have a Muldrotha, the Gravetide and a Chulane, Teller of Tales player in the 4-payer Group and both a very creature heavy decks.
Akroma on the other hand feels a little underwhelming but has partner with could open up some interesting combinations. I would like to combined her with a green commander. Just to have some ramp available. I don't like the combination with Kamahl, Heart of Krosa because both are expensive.
An equipment focus could work well with her, too. But there aren't many useful partner commander with equipment effects other than Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist which would mean I am in mono white territory. I already have a Feather, the Redeemed deck and would like to play another color combination this time. The deck idea would be Keyword-Soup.
What do you mean? Which one could be funnier to play with? With which partner would you combined Akroma?
Muldratha and Chulane are both "get out of hand quick" decks that will cast several cards a turn--Liesa seems like a shoe in there, particularly combined with a deck that synergizes with her effect. I want to like white Akroma but she seems a little too battlecruiser to go up against those two.
Personally, I think Akroma is just rather boring while Liesa is really interesting. She warps the game for greedy decks (of which there are all too many in this format :D) and is actually built to deal with the hate she generates because she never gets more expensive no matter how often she's removed. You can also build her with tons of pillowfort and lifegain instead of full group slug if you want a more relaxed approach.
I would play Liesa and make her w/b group hate with a choice of the worst things you can do in multiplayer like kicked desolation angel,
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, , melding Bruna, the Fading Light and Gisela, the Broken Blade. Searching for the bits with Thalia's Lancers. Using Underworld Dreams, and forcing them to draw somehow. Many other taxing and interesting card in both black and white.

I am ignoring that Radiant, Serra Archangel exists. I am just talking about Liesa, Shroud of Dusk and Akroma, Vision of Ixidor.
