So I recently finished up a Mizzix EDH deck and my playgroup had finally learned his potential... I know... Not good. Now ever time I play him he is either countered or removed instantly or before my next turn. So either I get him out (early turn 2 if I'm lucky three on average) and he is killed off by next turn or I dont't get him out until turn 5 or 6 so that I have some hexproof/ shroud boots on him or a counter in my hand, so it isn't until turn 6 or 7 (Lord willing my opponents dont have a way around my counter or boots and they often do) until I can start getting any experience counters from Mizzix. I really would like some help on early game additions and advice, like when to put him out, what ramp to use, and how to keep him from dying so easily because as of right now my deck revolves to heavily around him and my playgroup loooooooves removal. Thanks guys!
You already know the answer: have a way to immediately give her shroud/hexproof, or hold up countermagic. You could have more ramp so that you can be holding enough mana for those solutions on an earlier turn, but the solution remains the same.
Clout of the dominus is really quite good. But also recognize your commander of choice falls into the category of "Kill-Me-OR-Die" generals and her natural lack of resiliency is part of how she's balanced as a card.
My suggestion is to streamline your deck towards suiting the scenarios in which she survives and enjoy the glass cannon she's meant to be.
I'd say look for something that can be applied either immediately or at instant speed. Alexi's Cloak is the only thing that fits in your colors.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Two more cards to help out with keeping Mizzix alive(note that these should ONLY be used against uncounterable spells, like Supreme Verdict or Counterflux): Commit // Memory and Venser, Shaper Savant. There's probably a few more out there, but these are the two I remember. Everyone else has pretty much gone over whatever else I can suggest.
Thanks for the feedback I'll definitely try some of those lower cost instant spells and see how they work out, gives me a quick experience counter as well.
