I'd like your suggestions or decklinks for a deck featuring creatures with the hexproof ability, in order to better resist against targeted removal. I guess blue-green is an obvious direction to take, however I don't have any general in mind that could work nicely with this approach. I am at the earliest stage of construction so I don't have anything worked out yet, other than this main idea.
The general doesn't need to have hexproof, FYI.
Let me know if you can shed some ideas on the matter. I play casual games, no infinite combos, against good decks but nothing too competitive.
Well, first, I would remind you how common mass removal is.
That out of the way, I would suggest finding a Commander with hexproof or indestructible and going from there. Maybe Bant are your colors?

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I would have some counterspells for mass removal...
As I mentioned, the general doesn't need to have hexproof. Bant would work as these colors include most creatures with hexproof, shroud and indestructible. However, I would prefer a 2 color deck to avoid too much color fixing in the 99.
I am curious to hear about players which have experience using a similar deck with a certain degree of success...
I'd hypothesized about building a Kestia, the Cultivator hexproof/indestructible deck but never put it together. Kestia gives you card draw and a consistent buff effect out of the command zone, and you can run enchantment creatures and other auras to increase your card draw. She's also in the best colour combo for both hexproof creatures and creature buffs (Rafiq of the Many, Finest Hour).
Kestia's bestow ability also makes your board resilient against wraths.
You'd likely want to run a decent amount of ramp due to Kestia's fairly expensive bestow cost, as well as many of the better hexproof dudes (Carnage Tyrant, Sagu Mauler) being pretty expensive mana-wise. Ramp can also help fix your colours, so it's less of an issue that you're running 3 colours.
Hexproof creatures combined with some anti-wrath tech (Heroic Intervention or counterspells etc) is a reasonable combination.
RW is pretty good for granting indestructible, which gets around the bulk of the wraths. Archangel Avacyn, Avacyn, Angel of Hope
Otherwise, Kamahl can turn lands into creatures to deter wraths, and there are a number of blue generals with some sort of counterspell ability built in.

Thanks a lot!

Consider the "totem armor" auras like Eel Umbra or Bear Umbra. That way your best creature can survive even Supreme Verdict.
Estrid, the Masked can provide some pseudo indestructible with her masks.
Kaseto, Orochi Archmage can provide unblockable.
Kruphix, God of Horizons can provide mana advantage.
Sigarda, Host of Herons additional protects from forced sacrificing.
Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle could be an option, too. He provides some mana first first/early. Is protected by being a land card and can attack directly when becoming a creature for 12 commander damage.
I don't know what you are looking for :D.
