When everyone sees this card they see a sliver deck but I see potential for 5 color control. There have been some brews with progenitus in the past but I want to start from scratch. So here is my question what cards would be in 5 color control. We can still include some slivers but I don't want it to be a huge focus.
Modern: UUUBlue Man Group
Legacy: UWBMiracles
Edh: UUUThassa Control WWWHokori Stax GGGJolrael, Empress of Land Stompy BBBGriselbrand French List RBGShattergang(Super Villians) RWGHazezon Flicker UBRMarchesa Aggro URGMaelstom Wanderer (Maelstorm)
like Sen Triplets. They rock so hard in 5 color deck.
but anyway, I still think that Reaper King is more suited to be 5 color controll general. Yes, hes not indestructible, but turns every changeling and scarecrow into Vindicate.
So, if you want wrath-like and pure mass destruction control, go Hivelord. If more specialized, go Reaper.
Yes this is a serious question I cant run everything lol. Do I include Kiki combos galore. Hatred. Counters. A healthy mix? What slivers still need to be here? Just the mana ones? Planeswalker sub theme? Sometimes it is hard when you have sooooo many options
The shroud sliver would be good. The mana ones are okay since you can you can use them to help cast your general, I guess, but I don't think they'd be that useful.
I wouldn't run hatred since that is not as powerful in multiplayer and if you have a 5-colour land base, you usually do a lot of damage to yourself. I would honestly mostly try to ignore making your commander better at killing people and just focus on board control with board wipes and some spot removal. Counterspells will be good for dealing with tuck effects. On that note, running additional finishers is a good idea.
I assume you mean drop of honey and porphyry nodes (essentially the same card). I think they could be worth it. They can clear the board slowly and essentially will have no effect on you (assuming you go low on the creature count).
Draft it Here!
