Mindleech Mass seems like a lot of fun, but it's expensive in my opinion, but it's understandable for it's body and effect. It can also possibly act as an answer to enchantments in UB, if the right card is in hand. Silent-Blade Oni does the same thing for 1 less, no trample, and ninjutsu.
What do you think? I might stick him in my Grixis reanimator as early hand manipulation.
"Some of the other guys dared me to go out, but I knew it weren't no ordinary giant giga-blasting blaze of unending flames that would scorch the whole world."

The Oni you do get a great connection the first time but over time the Mindleech Mass is better at getting through because of the trample. Still, the first time is often the only one you're going to get out of guys at this mana cost so I'd also go with the Oni. The real question is, /whynotboth.jpg?
Limited slots. The Ninjutsu isn't as appealing to me on the Oni simply because in my sedris deck (where it would be going) he's going to be reanimated (possibly with haste), and wouldn't be able to take full advantage of ninjutsu. The trample is evasion, and thats incredibly relevant. I can also use it to possibly answer enchantments out of others hands.
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.
I'd agree. For most deck types being able to gaurentee it hits the turn you play it is great. MLM is definitely better in terms of on board presence however.
I haven't gotten to actually use either one yet. Is it as powerful as I think it is
?
If you're in Grixis you might also want to consider mindclaw shaman that does the same thing as MLM and SBO when he enters the battlefield (easier to abuse, IMO).

"I think EDH would be more fun for the majority of participants if players just showed eachother their decks rather than actually playing games out."
They also seem decent, but not when I need to beat face with the things I reanimate. I put MLM in my deck I'm gonna see how it runs. I feel like getting him out turn 2 or 3 will really disrupt my opponents tempo.

Good luck fellow Grixis mage.

The demon has proved his spot in my deck a couple of times.
The most hilarious use it to momentarily take over a creature, attack with it, ninjitsu this guy in and play the creature again
I once did that with a Titan, who I reanimated for a turn.
It gave me six zombie-tokens in one turn.
both creatures can easily be cheated into play. any time of Buried Alive type card plus Animate Dead type card will get the job done. and all these cards u should prob already be running in your deck lol
also, maybe try sum Howling Mine type cards to fill up their hands for better card choices to steal!!

I'm definitely not going to share card advantage to make one card in my singleton deck better lol. Being able to use it as a thought seize is good enough but it's even better. I doubt I'll be too upset even I'd they've nothing for me to use.

Just sayin', but isn't the Ninjitsu actually PERFECT for the reanimation that Sedris pulls? Unearth a dude, attack with it and Ninjitsu it back to the hand, thus allowing you to cast them again without having to exile?
I mean I know it's mana intensive but hey...

Doesn't work, the wording of Unearth says that if an unearthed creature would leave the battlefield, it gets exiled instead. The only way to abuse it like what you're thinking is to use something like Deadeye Navigator that exiles it anyway, and then returns it to play.
Yeah. Unearth is worded in a way that is hard to get around. Sundial of the Infinite and Conjurer's Closet are popular choices, though the former doesn't get rid of the exile clause.
I forgot Deadeye satsifys unearth, and I just cut him from my deck. I'm probably not going to put him back in regardless, but it's a neat synergy. If the deck was more centered around abusing Sedris I'd definately use it, but I use him strictly as a finisher.

+1, even though the Mass has trample.
Basically, Ninja Demons are cooler than... whatever Mass is.

The Mass and the Oni are both quite good. Both have straight-out won me games.
(U/B)(U/B)(U/B) JUMP IN THE LINE, ROCK YOUR BODY IN TIME
(R/W)(R/W)(R/W) RISING FROM THE NEON GLOOM, SHINING LIKE A CRAZY MOON

Lack of RTFC on my part, I thought they all did the same thing.
Ah well, I still love MCS.
