Good call. Forge is one of the strongest plays this deck makes.
I like your theme, but Enigma Sphinx isn't very good in this deck, and Trinket Mage is, especially considering your preference for Crypt.
Jace Beleren? When there's no Memory Jar or Frantic Search?
How can Jace>Memory Jar? Lol. Memory Jar is broken and with Sharuum, you can potentially draw and play 14 cards if you have Academy out.
The only reason I would not run Jar is people will complain and be upset but if you're the power player, don't care about it. I run both Jace and Jar since they're both good, but Jar>>>>>Jace in terms of draw power. Jace is more multiplayer friendly though until you start drawing for yourself lol

I like designing decks and I am primarily a control player. Using Drain to fight Workshops is like using Exclude to fight Dark Confidant.
Yeah, from looking at this deck and how streamlined and tutor-iffic and linear it is, Memory Jar should be in there over (or with) Jace. There's no arguing why it's better than Jace.
Memory Jar is one of the strongest plays Sharuum can make. Reasons
Unlike jace, obviously recurrable w/ Sharuum.
It stocks your graveyard. This is crucial. The cards are discarded at end of turn. So, you crack the jar, and play the juiciest cards of the mix. Then, you fill your graveyard with the cards that you want to reanimate.
Sphinx Soveriegn is bad. If you want to have a Sphinx theme, then sure, have it in there. but if you want the perfect build, unfortunatly there are simply better cards. To recur and finish with, use a non sphinx fattie like Ethersworn Adjucator, or inkwell Leviathan, or other big fatties.
however, if you want your only creatures to be Sphinx';s, then thats fine. Its a cool way to build sharuum
I'd sooner include Sphinx Sovereign over Enigma Sphinx, which is nearly worthless in this deck. However, there are better non-Sphinx options for sure.
Spot-on as far as Jar assessment goes.
I can't stress enough how strong Artificer's Intuition is in this deck as well. It's my favorite development card in the deck. It fixes your mana, offers you acceleration, and finds you removal, all the while stocking your yard with juicy Sharuum targets.
Sphinx Sovereign and Enigma Sphinx should drop. If you're playing darksteel forge, then why not platinum angel? Also I might've missed it, but no tinker?

Actually, it depends. If you're playing under Open Play Rules, you are correct. However, if you're playing under League Play Rules, I'm pretty sure the Legend Rule still applies.
How is it the best build you've ever seen if it's focusing on a sphinx theme instead of more powerful card interactions?
Depends what qualities you consider when you evaluate the deck.

This combo still works, Open Play or League Play.
Sculpting Steel comes into play, targeting Sharuum.
The Sculpting Sharuum CIP trigger goes on the stack.
State-based effects are checked; Sculpting Sharuum dies to the Legend rule and heads to the bin.
Disciple triggers go on the stack and resolve if nothing else happens.
The Sculpting Sharuum trigger resolves.
Target your Sculpting Steel with it's own trigger, make it Sharuum again, rinse and repeat until you win the game.

I'm pretty much happy to copy anything in the deck, from Coalition Relic to Voltaic Key and so on. It's too good to pass on.
As for Isperia...you've got a theme, so that seems okay there. I personally wouldn't, but I'm not crazy about non-artifact tutors with limited scope.
