I've been toying around with a snake-based Seshiro the Anointed deck and then I had to scratch my head when I got to Shizuko, Caller of Autumn. Mainly, how does this interact with the other players' decks? Do they get three green mana or three colorless? Based on the rules posted here, it seems like this would give them the green mana since it is not a card in their deck creating the mana. But I could just be mis-interrupting how the rule is stated.
"The general's mana cost dictates what mana symbols may appear on cards in the deck. A deck may not generate mana outside it's colours; anything which would generate mana of an illegal colour generates colourless mana instead."
It's that last line that I am hung up on. Mostly because I'm not entirely sure where the generated mana is coming from. If it's my card, it shouldn't be illegal; if it's that player, then I assume colorless mana would be generated. And most of the time this wouldn't matter, but I have a friend that likes to steal other players' creatures so giving him green mana would let him use some of their abilities.
Thanks for clearing this up.

I think the way I'd rule it is that Shizuko would generate green mana, but your opponents would only be able to spend it as if it were colourless. That would allow the card to remain functional while maintaining the flavour of the game (insert reason why they can't see the colour here).

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
i'd say green is green, if your opponent playing Nicol Bolas, and has a random Sunburst card then good for them they get a fourth counter. it keeps the flavor because its something outside of their control creating it, they are just taking advantage of it.
Flavorwise it's better if they get the green mana.
You are a blue walker and you have 3 green mana given to you and try to use it as green mana for something you took from a green walker. What stops you from doing so? What makes it 3 colorless mana?
Lets say the laws of the world make it so Person A can't make a ball
Now lets say the laws of the world let person B do it
Now lets say Person B gives the ball he made to person A, does it stop being a ball?
But we should just ask the EDH rule gods or something
Well since you are not allowed to have any cards in your deck that either have a diff. color OR even use a color word not in your deck (for example you can't use an oroti snake basket in a non-green deck) the mana added would be colorless.

The rules state that "anything which would generate mana of an illegal color generates colorless mana instead". Therefore Shizuko, Caller of Autumn would add colorless mana. If you donate Celestial Dawn to an opponent and their general isn't white they are probably screwed.

First posted EDH deck: Hakim, Beardmaster
Do we look at it like the blue player is unable to draw green mana to use or are they just unable to use it.
Mr.Blue: "I just took this thing with some control magic but I can't use the thing without green mana..."
Dr.Green: "Here's some Green mana for you."
Mr.Blue: "Thanks" or "What the hell do I do with this?"

Sen Triplets? Or Acquire/Bribery/Treachery/Confinscate/Beacon of Unrest etc. Its not difficult to get your opponents cards in play at all. And with the triplets its pretty easy to nab some basics too.
