Why not just look through other threads in the Casual section? That could give you some ideas.
Or, you could just take an established deck type (Elves, for example) and add a color that would not be expected to be splashed for and throw it in. Now you have a GU Elf deck. Pick whatever aspect of Blue you like best (counter, bounce, gain control of creatures, etc.) and throw it into the deck. This method isn't going to produce the next big thing, but seriously, who owns a G/U Elf deck?
Have you made anything with Grave Pact yet it is crazy fun to build a deck around.
Also this may mean it is time to get more into Singleton 60 or Highlander 100 (NOT EDH but regular Highlander). These decks are notorious for being hard to build so they will take more time and decision making in building. Right now I am working on a Singleton 60 deck for each color, so far have: green, white, and blue and am working on black now.

Yeah, I'm gonna be working on highlander-esq formats for a while.
Its honestly one of my favorite decks, requires lots of thought, and can hang with pretty much anything in my playgroup (which is Vintage strong), and its universally feared in multiplayer...I've won more than once 1-on-3 ('cuz the second I drop the first enchantress, they all gun for me). If you want to add money some day (Land Tax, Argothian Enchantress, Enlightenend Tutor, Idyllic Tutor, etc), it can be a top-tier deck.
Or...I love reanimator, if you haven't done that. It can be done fairly cheap (certainly sub-$20) with the following engine:
I'm looking for another deck to make. I prefer making oldschool and/or classic decks, so those would be good suggestions

It requires thinking due to the stacking of gy order and it's cheap to build =D
Alternatively, the original version requires even more thinking (meaning these decks reward playskill)

pemmin's aura for the win!
what you do is take about 10-20 uncommons, and randomly take one out. whatever it is, make a deck themed around it.

Yeah, I'm gonna be working on highlander-esq formats for a while.
I've done SuiBlack and Burn.... UW Control I haven't done... I'll probably do that as well.
Thanks everyone.
The core is pretty cheap to assemble:
Mesa Enchantress
Verduran Enchantress
Wild Growth
Utopia Sprawl (or Fertile Ground)
Auratog
Either Rancor ($) or Genju of the Cedars (or Whip Silk, etc)
Very cheap...with the exception of the Rancor, which can be replaced.
Some protection will be in order: Spirit Link, Angelic Renewal, Sigil of the new Dawn, Broken Fall.
From there, go aggro: Ancestral Mask, Briar Shield, Yavimaya Enchantress, Seal of Strength, Knighthood, Serra's Blessing, Primal Rage, Asha's Favor, etc...
Or, go control (Island Sanctuary, Oblivion Ring, Journey to Nowhere, Circle of Protection(s), Ghostly Prison($), Solitarty Confinement ($)).
Or, for fun: Venom, Lure, Regenerate ;).

Or...I love reanimator, if you haven't done that. It can be done fairly cheap (certainly sub-$20) with the following engine:
4 Careful Study
4 Merfolk Looter
4 Merfolk Traders
2 Unfulfilled Desires
4 Victimize
2 Exhume
4 Animate Dead (or Dance of the Dead)
2 Diabolic Servitude
2 Strands of Night
Of course, money can be added here in both threats, discard and reanimation spells, but mine's pretty freakin' cheap, I think :).
Both of mine can be found in my sig, if you care to see 'em :D. check here...http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=265280&page=2&highlight=Verduran+Enchantress too
My pestilence deck, and High Tide mill are both a blast as well. Hope I've helped in some way.
DRum
Old school group, sometimes more beer than cards. Revised thru Tempest block (and a little of Urza), sorry if I don't know all the new cards
Ye' Olde Schoole Casual Decks: BUReanimate -- GRAggro -- BWPestilence -- G10-land Stompy -- GRElfball -- GWEnchantress -- RAnkh Sligh -- BDiscard -- MUC "Draw-go" -- BRSuicide -- UWSkies -- UHigh Tide Mill -- WWeenie -- UMutated Bombers -- URThe great land-toss -- UB Molasass
Also, not an established classic tournament deck, but clerics either mono-W or WB are a blast to play casually if you're into the tribal theme at all.

I'll also probably work on a Spike deck, because I'm in love with Spike Feeder right now :3
@Matchbox20: I'll think about a Slide deck. Also seems interesting and out-of-the-box
GW Slide is gone, but a revamped version of the original R/W Slide Rift is coming back in legacy =)
@bone_doc: If you found enchantress boring to play against and with, try Landstill and 43 Lands
Alternatively, real hard to play combos such as solidarity/spring tide and doomsday are ideas
