Way back when I first started playing magic, I built a deck that was designed around changing the wording on cards and the color of cards to abuse things like COP, Protection, etc. It's been almost 10 years since I last had the deck built, so I'm wondering what kind of new cards might be there to abuse.
Here are the cards I'm thinking about putting into the deck to take care of the color changing.
Obviously I'll be playing a Circle of Protection: (something). Maybe some cards with Protection from (color). I know there are some good cards that can hose a certain color really well, what kind of cards are available that might allow me to use that to my advantage, while not getting hit too hard by the effect?

No no no, I'm not looking for Chameleons. I'm looking for cards that work well if I can change the color, color word, or text on the card. Something like Karma or Justice.

Scarecrows are generally pretty interesting, but they can be slow and ineffective if you don't get the colours you need. Scuttlemutt can help change colours on your creatures, if you need any more of that (doesn't look like it, though).

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - Nevermore!

Well to be fair the Colossus isn't a bad choice, much like any other creature with Protection. The ability to instantly switch from one form of protection to the form of protection which would most benefit you on the fly is perfect, and is considerable more inexpensive than say a Circle of Protection in the long run.
In my experience, this particular archetype is tough to win with. I probably just didn't build it right.
If you must go this route, stick with easy/powerful things like Karma. Marauding Knight/Crusading Knight are workable. Yeah, Painter's Servant/Grindstone is the 'DUH' option, but have fun saving up for those. I've also seen Angry Mob score some big hits.
If you run a TON of colorshifting cards, like you seem to be doing in your 1st post, you will be sitting around not doing much, most games. Narrow it down to:
4-8 kill cards (like Karma)
4-8 shifting cards
+ usual deck control & tutoring elements for your various pieces.
If you overwhelmingly focus on including tons of differnet colorshifting cards, you're going to die. You'll just sit there and do nothing while your opponent romps you. That was my experience w/this deck anyway.
I dunno man..
Good luck with this. May you succeed where I failed. Utterly.
