I was driving to work today and I had Kaladesh on my mind. It's obviously a steampunk world.
What's getting less attention is the real-world influences on the world. Judging from Chandra's mother, Pia, and the new Planeswalker Saheeli Rai--it seems like there's also some Indian/Sanskrit 'exotic' stuff going on.
I have no basis for this, but based upon previous blocks, I think we'll probably see more than just dark skin and exotic-sounding names to represent this source material. I was absentmindedly brainstorming things that are closely associated with 'India' in popular culture that might also find an easy mechanical home in Kaladesh.
Well, one particular aspect of Hinduism immediately came to mind..
I'm not saying this card card is getting reprinted. I'm saying we could see some sort of new DFC's that have death triggers involved. This would certainly support interblock synergy and seems like it would be funky and fun, gameplay-wise.
DFCs are so far pretty much connected to Innistrad and we are getting a whole bunch of them now, I do not think it is probable to have them in a following block. If reincarnation gets implemented, I would guess a whole new mechanic. Maybe something like "Reincarnation X: When this creature dies, search your graveyard for a creature card with CMC X and put it onto the battlefield"
DFCs are more about transformation. Reincarnation is a bit detached from that. I don't think the theme of becoming something else is big enough to make DFCs a central mechanic, which they usually are.
Nope, <.01% chance. The presence of DFC's is immediately detectable by the number of cards in the set, which they inflate. normal large sets have 264 (+/- ~10, based on other set specific factors). SOI was announced with 297 (264+33 DFC's). Kaladesh has 264.

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
I wouldn't call this likely, but MaRo has said before that they'll put more DFCs in products if the finance-people think they justify the cost.
Seeing them off Innistrad is almost guaranteed eventually, but I wouldn't expect DFCs to come back so immediately.

I really, really hope that they don`t overdo DFCs. I love them in Innistrad and they`re okay on very special occations such as the planeswalkers getting sparked up in Origins, but that`s enough.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.

Nah. DFCs have such flexible flavour that you could justify them in practically any setting, but until the logistical issues are settled, I think they're staying only Innistrad and special occasions.
