Currently considering Venerated Loxodon, because that seems like a Boros card with the wrong watermark. I know that History of Benalia is a good card; it's currently cut for budget reasons.
So after opening my GRN, here's what I'm still missing:
Runaway Steam-Kin - GRN R
Sky Terror - XLN U
Tajic, Legion's Edge - GRN R
Truefire Captain - GRN U
Heroic Reinforcements - M19 U
Response // Resurgence - GRN R
The uncommons are incidental pickups, and I think that they all fit the theme of the deck will enough that I'll get them. Lazav pretending to be Tajic seems like a boss, and I should bite the bullet and pick him up. Runaway Steam-Kin will probably not make the cut if I have to go out and buy it. Response // Resurgence is probably good enough that I want it and cheap enough that it's an easy grab.
Steam Kin cut for ... that 3/3 vigilance for RW from RIX? Have to see if I have one.
Edit: Found a Heroic Reinforcements in a pile of M19 cards!
So, I still have yet to play a game with this thing, but here's another change because I got a new thing.
-1 Goblin Banneret
+1 Legion Warboss
The Warboss seems good in a deck with Mentor in the Command Zone. The Banneret fails to excite me. Late game, I'd rather draw the Warboss and have a steady stream of goblins to the grinder ... I'm sorry, I mean heroic volunteers, bravely attacking against all odds ... than one pumpable 1-toughness goblin that can mentor once before he bites it.
Honestly, Mentor seems really bad on creatures that aren't a 4/5 flier for 4.

I did play some games with the deck today, and the card that struck me as suboptimal was actually Call the Cavalry. 4 power at sorcery speed for 4 mana had better be doing something else for me. I'm sure that the card's stock goes way up in a History of Benalia world, but I'm not dropping the cash on that card. Might be better as that 0/3 Ascend for W that gets +3/+3, because with Mentor that just gets awesome. Either that or more removal - the game that I lost was because I got run over by a 6-drop and then a 7-drop and I just couldn't deal with them.
I opened some RNA packs and got a Skarrgan Hellkite and Skewer the Critics. Call the Cavalry has been really underperforming without History of Benalia, so I want to replace 4 power for 4 mana with 4 hasty flying power for 5 mana. And Skewer can go to the face if I need it to, so I'm pulling Shivan Fire. I'm not particularly happy about trading off instant-speed removal, but 3 damage for 1 mana is pretty tempting.
