With Sarkhan you can loot big things into the graveyard for a powerful Yawgmoth's Vile Offering or you can accelerate into a turn 4 Niv. The list is pretty flexible as far as interaction goes, you might want to include spell pierce in the mb/sb if you expect to get into counter-wars, or kit the deck even more against aggro if you wish.
