Gifts can be another way to fetch Battle of the Wits. The gifts pile is: Call to Mind / Noxious Revival / Battle / anything. Either they give you Battle directly, or they give you Noxious Revival which gives Battle on your next draw, or they give you Call to Mind which grabs Noxious, which nets Battle. Additionally, Call to Mind and Noxious Revival are playable and not-entirely-horrible if you end up drawing one.
Beyond that, it allows many different piles that offer alt wins, even in monoblue. Let's explore a 2 card combo with Call+Revival. They have 3 options:
1. Combo-Piece + Combo-Piece
2. Combo-Piece + Call-or-Revival
3. Call + Revival
The first is a glorious happenstance that no good pile-splitter will give you. In the second, you can either Revival your other piece to draw it, Call it if it's an instant/sorcery, or Call the Revival and Revival the other piece. Regardless, you get both pieces next turn. The third is the least ideal, but you can Revival piece A, then Call the Revival and Revival piece B. Again, you get both pieces of your two-card combo.
So let's explore some quick 2-card combos you can easily gifts:
Polymorph: Narcomoeba + Polymorph
Narco either goes to your hand or directly into play. Revive/Call Polymorph, cast it on Narco. Reveal cards until you get your Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Pure profit from here. Caveat: This combo requires that you run no other creatures. While you don't already, it does mean you have to skip all of the creature combos below.
Lore & Dominion: Living Lore + Eternal Dominion
Living Lore comes in as a 10/10 for 3U. Swing/block just once, and you can sac to switch to Eternal Dominion for an alt-alt win.
A 3 Drop Eldrazi: Academy Researchers + Eldrazi Conscription
Cast Researchers, bring in Conscription, and get a 12/12 trampler with annihilator 2 - for 1UU. Good times.
Infinity Elemental: Crackdown Construct + ( Shuko / Grafted Wargear / Tidewater Minion / etc)
Pair Crackdown Construct with your favorite infinite-use ability, and swing with a 47/47.
Infinite Mana: Grand Architect / Pili-Pala
Infinite Mana: Tidewater Minion / Illusionist's Bracers
These don't win by themselves, but infinite mana can be pretty good too.
Noncombo Draw: Hatching Plans / Perilous Research
Maybe you have the Battle, but you need to draw into something else? 2UU: Draw five cards.
It's pretty easy to fit a Scapeshift kill into 250 cards. That makes a pretty solid one-card kill condition, just with slightly higher mana requirements.
Gifts Ungiven into Unburial Rites + a stupid fatty like Iona, Shield of Emeria, Griselbrand, or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite works well too.
