General
Basically I like to limit my token production in to decently substantial threats. Popping out a whole bunch of 1/1 tokens is fine but your usually not getting much value out of them as you would in a Standard or Modern game where your playing against one opponent. That does not mean I wont produce them but I try and avoid or at least make sure not to pay as much for them.
Which is why I like the splicer family of token producers as much as I do. Yes the initial body is frail but they buff each others tokens even if they come into play later and the token itself is a 3/3 body which can then be populated, and copied in different ways.
A few other things I find are that people expect Trostani to be more durdly, and as a general rule they are correct in how the average one plays. This is close as well but a bit different in that I will try and go off early if possible and have chosen to omit a few of the more durdly cards like Growing Ranks which in a multiplayer game isnt as good as in a 1v1 match.
Another question is why aren't I playing Precursor Golem or Phyrexian Triniform. The simple answer is that even though this is multiplayer Triniform has to die to get the tokens I want, and while the card is good on whole that really cant be easily exploited in this deck. As for Precursor, I did take a hard look but since this isn't Ich-Tekk and Rebber I cannot protect my artifacts nearly enough that a simple abrade without overload can nuke most my field at the most inopportune time. Just isn't worth the risk.
