Just a fun little deck I've been working on. There were so many wolf and related cards in last few years so I put a bunch of it together to make this nonsense. The idea is to get Garruk/Arlinn/Tolsimir out as quickly as possible to benefit from their wolf creating and enhancing abilities.
Since I play against a lot of flying, I had to make sure I had ways of dealing with it: Tower Defense, Fell the Pheasant specifically to deal with them. Wicked Wolf, Garruk, Tolsimir, Prey Upon, Moonlight Hunt, Bake into a Pie can also be used against flyers, but work just as well against nonflyers.
There is also a little bit of a Food subtheme going on with Fierce Witchstalker, Gingerbread Cabin, Bake into a Pie, Witch's Oven and then feeding it all to Wicked Wolf to make it a real big bad wolf!
Side board stuff is mostly stuff that can't be used in Pioneer, but can in Modern. Cheap Wandering Wolves for low mana cost creatures, Bower Passage against flying, Hunger of the Howlpack and Blessings of Nature for additional +1/+1 counters, Intangible Virtue to enhance those tokens.
I need to put my Chromatic Lantern in here in place of the Mana Geode since its the same cost and acts better for what I need.
Also...I secretly call this deck Hungry Like the Wolf!
