Scrapped Princess tells the story of Pacifica Cassul, an orphan girl who grew up with her adoptive brother and sister, Shannon and Raquel. Unbeknownst to her siblings, she was originally born to the royal family, but due to a prophecy fortelling destruction if she reached her 16th birthday, she was (thought) killed shortly after birth. Now, the date of her 16th birthday rapidly approaches, and followers of the Mauser church (whose prophets fortold the prophecy) have discovered her after years in hiding, and they want her dead. With only her sister's skill in sorcery and her brother's swordsmanship to protect her, how long will she be able to evade the church's minions? Is she really destined to destroy the world?
Scrapped Princess is one of the best fantasy anime out there. It has just the right blend of comedy, action, and good storytelling. Add in a great ending and a story that grows well without ever becoming too big, and you have a great series overall. A must-see for fans of fantasy. Highly recommended.
I hate to say it, Yukora, but sometimes mono just takes forever to run its course. The rest may not feel like it's helping, but you need it to conserve strength for your immune system to work, and fluids help to flush microorganisms from the body. It's really tough, which is why most people who get mono end up staying in bed for weeks or months at a time.

I think the part that is hardest for me out of all of this is that I can't kiss Megan anymore. One doesn't know how great something is until he no longer has it.
Just wanted to drop in and say a quick: Get better Yukora! Mono might take MONTHS to run its course so ya have to just be patient. Unfortunately its hard to be patient when you're missing everything around you... But I'm of the opinion if you can keep yourself happy you'll definitely get better faster. If you can do that that's a good start. I know that's easier said than done tho.

I really liked Gravitation, too. It's very cute and sweet. However, for some reason I couldn't watch very much of it at a time because I felt it was too intense and stirring. A bit like Kare Kano in that way; but it might be different now. I've gotten a lot more used to the whole idea of romance, and reading/watching stuff about it doesn't depress me as much as it used to. As evidence, my increased exposure to shonen-ai.
I didn't know you would like that kind of thing, Nai . . . except I remember now seeing you in Gaymers last year. You saw me there, too, except I don't think you remembered.

If you guys are into RPing at all (more plugging), go check out CharlieD's "Under the Petals" deal. Real unique among WPs, in that you play kids, not adventuring adults. It's a nice change of pace, and fun to boot. I'm not really that far in it (as far as you can get in a WP), but I'd recommend heartily that every RPer amongst us checks it out.

It started snowing here for the first time this winter a week ago or so. Not much, 3 centimeters perhaps. Then, at Saturday, during the Planar Chaos prerelease, it got wild. It snowed constantly all the day, and it snowed a LOT. Now it's around 40 centimeters... And -15 degrees Celsius.

Don't you like snow, Photon? Why not? I personally have only one thing against snow - the slippery roads. There are always a very large number of accidents in the traffic during the winter because of this.
1. At work, I tend to have to do a lot of driving. I don't drive well in snow, and no matter how bad it gets, I still have to drive to and from work in it, since my employers do not accept poor weather conditions as an excuse for calling off. So, no snow days for me. Only a terrifying driving experience and the possibility of an excruciating death.
2. I hate being wet unless I'm swimming or bathing. Snow is just a cold, degenerate form of wetness, as far as I am concerned.
3. I'm terrified of dying in a car accident due to black ice or icy conditions, since the two accidents I have been in were due to black ice, and shook me up pretty badly.
4. I find snow to be inconveniant. I live in a rural area, so snow really screws with travel and a lot of other things.
5. If my clients miss work due to snowy weather, I end up having to keep them entertained all day, which gets old quickly considering we can't go out and do anything.
6. Snowy weather usually means cloudy weather, and I really just prefer a lot of sunlight. In greyish winter weather, I become anxious, lethargic, and often depressed, so snow (and winter in general) tends to get me down.

Sorry- Normally i'm quite more enthusiastic but seriously, this Literature Review is kicking me in the ass...........yea I mean, I've got somewhat of a fairly good grip on it, but at teh same time... so don't.
Right now I'm at work, and utterly, completely exhausted.... Yesterday Arguas came over and we had a long chat about some important things.. Unfortunately it robbed the both of us of much-needed sleep and work time.... He has two tests today, and I have work and slaving over this damned Literature Review..... As always seems to happen around the time of the 2500th post... Gimme a little time to recuperate, and I will get to making a new thread at some point soon. Most likely Thursday evening in between studying for my Art History exam on Friday (oh JOY) and sleep.
Right now I'm downing some French Roast coffee... hopin' that'll perk me up a bit..... My boss saw me as I walked in the door and she was like "Okay, what's wrong?" I then told her about this Literature Review....yes, I'm somewhat starting on it early, but at the same time, I am NOT.
And boy, do i ever hate it when people feel insecure about a relationship they specifically said they want.... Its not a huge thing.. I know now, that he really is trying to make this work, and as am I... which is the difference from before... but at the same time, part of me is inclined to crop up my own insecurities... Funny how when someone has cultivated your trust, something can ultimately destroy it.. and that goes both ways, kids.
Bleh.. I've been tryin' to focus on homework, which I have been..for the most part... but this LITERATURE REVIEW... just....GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH............

And then I have to do an Art History Exam by Friday at noon... I'm gonna finish this paper Thursday, hand it in, go to work, go pick up the papers, watch the film, go back to my room for some brief relaxing before dinner, and then probably dinner and the play with Ryan and our friend Ashley. But that's not until tomorrow night.. FIRST I need to

EDIT @Snow : Snow and ice CAN be quite beautiful gorgeous things, especially if the temp isn't TOO cold, I love a walk outside in the forest... assuming one is bundled up enough, and preferably walking with someone who can also appreciate the same. However! I've been in NYS for long enough that snow = bad. Just..... I groan when I see how much snow there is outside... I wish there were less snow, more sun. I can't wait for when RIT is green again instead of IMPECCABLY WHITE. But then that would mean it'll be nearer to graduation, which means i'm that much closer to needing to figure out what the HELL i'm going to do after I leave RIT... which means I leave Arguas and all my good friends over the past 4 years.... just... UGH. I haven't even taken the GRE yet, and YES I know I need to, I'm going to tackle that AFTER my GODDAMN lit review is DONE....... *MUTTERGRUMBLEPISSYRANT*

Bad news in the Foreign Corespondence department yet again. I faxed an application form to a Canadian health school and not only did the application (with my bank information on it) go missing, but also the secretary informed me that I am not eligible to apply to the program I chose, because i am foreign.
She honestly (?) had no idea where it went, checked with the other staff there, everything. Looks like my only hope is the tougher, more competitive and demanding program, for which I know I do not have the qualifications yet. I am very worried about my account information too. I had misgivings about sending it over the fax, but did not have the luxury of time to send it by mail, because the deadline is the end of this week.
Now what do I do? Everything I try seems to end badly in this department. I even got a head start and requested my peer and supervisor evaluations early, so I would have extra time to deal with these concerns.

Exactly. Snow was great when it worked with me (school cancellations, work being closed, sledding), but now it just works against me.
