Hey everyone, I still don't feel great. I've got a bad head ache that nothing is able to help, but at least I don't constantly feel dizzy any more. I should be feeling fine sometime later tonight though.
Magic is getting expensive? I didn't even notice as I'm trying to quit :p.
I rented pokemon dungeon once. It was ok, not great. Thats what I thought until I couldn't figure out a nice way to keep more than my starting party member with me, and whenever you lose a dungeon you lose all of your items that are with you .
That's how the Fushigi no Dungeon games go. Everything is generated randomly, so you can gain access to some really good stuff even early on in the game- however, as a downfall, you need to commit to completing an area in order to reap the benefits.

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
Emo is pretty much common langauge now. I use it interchangeably with loser and crybaby.
I finally finished all my x-mas shopping, so I actually have free time this week!
On the flipside, I work on Christmas Eve... which doesn't make me so happy.
And my last task as CoffeeHouse Hostess for three weeks is to award BuzzDX the illustrious FIRST POST CAKE!!!!!!
Have a great time everyone, and take care of the 'House while I'm gone, eh? *salutes to everyone as I bundle up, tugging my suitcases and disappears into the dark gloam of morning*
*Yawns and sleepily eats some cake* Mmm... this is good Omna, can I have the recipie?
@alacar: well have a good time at your sisters house alacar! Yes we will get to 3500 posts in no time maybe we can hit the post mark before she comes back i mean its not out of the question that we can reach the 3500 post mark in 3 weeks.
@omna: we will take care of your glorious coffeehouse when your gone and have a safe trip omna!
@buzz: well goodnight to you and sweetdreams! *hugs buzz*
I am going to get to bed in like an hour or something. Goodnight everyone and take care! *hugs everyone in the coffeehouse*
Love,
Cecilia
Hehe, thanks! *Hugs back* Ah, what the heck? *Hugs everyone*
In other news, I'm quite surprised at the weather outside right now. IT'S SNOWING! YAY!
*Looks at location* What the hell. I'm in the part of the country where it's supposed to snow and it's only low 50s-high 40s. And it's snowing for you in a place that's mostly either mountainous or desert. I hate global warming.
No jobs for me at the strip mall. Also, my dad's been having some dizziness problems over the past few weeks and I only got told now. He's in New York to get checked out.
@strongbad: well goodluck with your finals today and best wishes to you.
@buzz: thanks for the hug.
Hello everyone wow we are on 3rd page already in this new thread. Well hopefully we can get to 3500 posts like what alacar ordered. I think we can reach around 3000-3500 posts before omna comes back. We have broken all kinds of posts records before anyway. Well i am going to go clean up the bathtubs in like an hour from now so i wil be busy with that for awhile. I will see you all soon and take care everyone. *hugs everyone*
YAY NEW THREAD!!!
YAY I'M A...casual customer? That will change over the break, I hope.
YAY I GOT PRESENTS UNDER THE TREE!!
YAY, IT-.....oh wait, we're in Georgia...it's not snowing down here...:(
Hope everyone's doing well. I gotta go out and finish my christmas shopping. My mom "trusted me" with her debit card.
Hello everyone I will probably clean the bathtubs in like 20 minutes from now since my mom gave me a job around the house like almost everyday before she comes home from work. I wish i was at clinicals though so then i won't get too bored at home but oh well I am glad christmas is almost here. Happy holidays everyone and i will talk to you all soon after i get done with my bathtub cleaning see you all later!
We're doing things a bit differently this time, so just click this link to go have a look. Alternatively, you can click the giant link above, or just check page 2 (on 15/p) of this thread. This week's anime is Full Metal Panic, one of my favorites (though aren't they all? ).
@snow: If it snows where I am, Ill eat my nephew. And I despise cannibalism (DISCLAIMER: If for some freak reason it does snow in the semi-coastal regions of San Diego, I am not eating my nephew.)
@hugs: Ah, what the hell. *hugs everyone*
@AotW: Great choice

Uncle [T]utor of the [T]'s Winner of Weekly Contest 46!
Hey all...yay new thread (this means I need to update my link in sig then, but ive been needing a while to update my sig recently.)
Photon: From someone who hears this alot from school, my interpretation of emo is someone who just brings the spirits of others down, seems to be depressed, and has suicidal thoughts/cuts themselves. But of course, it spans a broader range then just those people, and its hard to think of words to describe everyone of it.
As for AotW: YAY! FMP was a great anime, and the sequels are still good IMO, but nowhere near the status of the first one.
And I still keep forgetting to get truffles, even though I think of them so much.
On slightly frustrating Magic note: What the hell made a recent uncommon start costing about 30 bucks for a playset locally (Remand)? I know it's REALLY popular so I was expecting around 15 for a playset but 5 bucks a piece is really MORE than I willing to pay... for a recent uncommon at least... [/rant].
I know how you feel... Luckily my playgroup doesn't value them that high, though, I'd guess about $3.50. But that's still really, really high for an uncommon. It's like Eternal Witness a couple of years back. But lucky me has got 8 Remands
Quote from Kraj »
Oh, and my friend go me a tournament pack of TS for Christmas. Magus of the Mirror (meh, now I have a total of two Magus' and they're both of the Mirror ), Trickbind (happy), Stonewood Invocation (yippie!) and then... foil Ancestral Vision. (Woo-Hoo! *Does a little dance*)
2 ok rares + foil Vision in 1 tourney pack? Well done. Were the purples any good? I don't like Vision a lot, but there are hordes of players out there begging to give you $25 worth of cards for it.

And yes, i know how it feels...magic is just getting too expensive!
Start playing combo. Combo = budget.

@ emo: I didn't actually know how widely the term was used in modern English before I joined MTGS, and I must say it was quite surprising...
Same here. Honestly, I hadn't heard about it before I joined here.

Not so here. A few days until Christmas, yet the countryside is still green It should be white ages ago...

XXBT: ~, deals X damage to target creature. You gain life equal to the damage dealt this way.
I just can't think of a good name to call this by.
Drain Life Dragon. There you go.
(I suck at card names. It may have something to do with my nationality.)
I just saw what Kraj pulled...and I dont see whats bad about pulling Magus of the Mirror, I like it currently in T2 as tech against MartyrTron.
And the price for Remand is pretty high, i guess I am lucky that I got my playset a long while back, but $5 is quite ridiculous for an uncommon, even if it is a 4-of in almost everydeck in T2 Currently that runs blue (which is at least 40%, if not higher).
@Emo: I remember when "emo bands" such as Dashboard Confessional were beginning to become popular, and eventually songs or musical styles that seemed overly sad, whiny, or negative were labelled as emo. As is typical, the label began to be used for more than just music or subculture, though people today still think of it as some kind of subculture (like "goth").
Strongbad hit the nail on the head. People don't like being around others who don't seem happy, because it detracts from their own happiness. It's part of a very common cultural bias against "weakness" like being depressed, not being geared to do battle and conquer adversity, giving up, or being vulnerable. Our ideal is someone who never gives up, never gives in, and is always pushing forward with a cocky grin and super-hero attitude. Completely unrealistic, but there it is. We don't want to be reminded of our frailties. It upsets and scares us. It's quite selfish, really, but selfishness doesn't offend people nearly so much. There is a status quo to be met, and being depressive, self-mutilating (which is actually a serious problem and deserves absolutely none of the mockery it receives so rampantly on this forum), being anxious or fearful, surrendering, or just not being peppy and ambitious, violate that expectation.
Even people who don't intend it in a derogatory way will use it pretty often, such as saying "I had an emo phase" or something to that effect, usually suggesting that whatever symptoms consist of being emo, they're pervasive, they're not "real" personal issues, and they're signs of immaturity or weakness. These have always been fairly prevalent sentiments, especially in our culture and those like it.
Personally, I think "emo" is a nonsense term with no practical value.

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
@Mamelon: I totally agree with you about that because being happy or not makes a big difference probably not all of the time but most of the time it does. Also how are you? *hugs mamelon*
@alacar: yes congrats on round 3 of FCC
@mr. stuff: I never really watched any anime but i should at some point at least it probably would make my days alot more fun. I also I haven't bought any anime for a very long time but all of your choices look pretty good though mr. stuff I should check them out sometime.
Well I cleaned up the bathtubs which took about an hour and a half or something. I am not sure what i will do later today though maybe ill play some ff12 possibly. This year has been going by really fast its pretty crazy.. it just felt like yesterday was new years well for me anyway lol. See you all soon and take care everyone!
Wow I got 1,000 posts finally i didn't think i would make the 1,000 mark in like 10 years. (just kidding) Do you think i can have a big chocolate chip cookie and some lemon ice tea. Well i am going to eat lunch now see you all soon.
2 ok rares + foil Vision in 1 tourney pack? Well done. Were the purples any good? I don't like Vision a lot, but there are hordes of players out there begging to give you $25 worth of cards for it.
The purples were rather "meh". Disintegrate (hooray in limited, boo in the box with my 20 others from Revised), Gaea's Blessing (which was happy since I only had three and now I have a playset ), and ...I don't even remember what the third one was.
The collector in me says keep the Vision. But then again there's lots of cards I'd still like multiple copies of in Rav, so maybe I can pull a good swag for it.
I just saw what Kraj pulled...and I dont see whats bad about pulling Magus of the Mirror, I like it currently in T2 as tech against MartyrTron.
I wouldn't say it's "bad", but I'd rather have a different Magus (espeically one of the mroe desirebale ones) than a duplicate.
Seph, I'm leaning towards "Souldrinker Dragon" as it references the various drain cards without being too obvious (and is still fairly close in theme to the actual Souldrinker). Or, for a bit more fun go with "Soulguzzler Dragon". Oh, and a bit of advice... your card is a Timmy card. Timmy doesn't mind drawbacks, but Timmy doesn't like paying 7 mana for a big nasty creature that dies to a variety of 2- and 3-mana removal spells before it does anything. Just tossin' that out there.
