I thought that there were none of us left, Weird Al fans I mean. God I've listened to him since I was like 7. Even today I catch myself singing Jurassic Park and Another One Rides the Bus when I'm taking a test. What a true American great he is.
@Alpha: Happy Birthday!!!! Have a good one, buddy :D.
@Kraj: Congrats! You are definitely one of my favorite members here in the Coffeehouse, so yeah, congrats.
@Weird Al: Yeah!! I love Weird Al! My personal favorite songs of his are "Hardware Store" and "White and Nerdy", but I like many of his other songs also. Oh, and his best music video is by far "Smells like Nirvana". If anyone has ever seen it, it is hilarious :p.
@Alacar: Hmm, I hate to say it, but it seems to me like your card is kinda broken. Do most people really play Time Walk in the first 3 turns anyway? From my experience at least, your restriction is not large enough for the low cost. But you are very experienced and probably know what you are doing, so you don't have to listen to me.
Oh, and about the dilemma that I have that I mentioned yesterday. Well, it's not really that big of a deal, but I thought I'd see if anyone had advice for me. Be warned, it will sound very "high-school-ish", but since I'm in high school, I guess that makes sense.
Yeah, so there is this Winter Formal dance at my school this Saturday, and I have no idea if I should go. On one hand, I don't really enjoy dances very much. I mean, they're fun, but I am just not comfortable "freak dancing" with other girls, not that I'm afraid to, I just don't feel comfortable doing it; it doesn't feel like myself. But, a bunch of my friends are saying that I should go, including this one girl that I like, who seems like she really wants me to go, although she has a boyfriend. Yeah, so she is pretty much the main reason that I want to go, but I know it is just going to be awkward because she has a date and I don't and blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I know I sound really pathetic, but I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for me on whether I should go or not. Right now, I'm leaning towards no, but it's just hard because whenever I tell that to the girl that I like, she seems really disappointed. Well, thanks to anyone who actually read my pathetic problem .
Strongbad, that's not an easy decision. Ask yourself: is the only reason you'd go be because of being prompted by this lady friend of yours? If so, you may decide on going and hoping to hang out with her a bit, and if she doesn't end up doing so, you could disappointed. Do you think you would have even a little fun, even without her there? It kind of depends on what you'd like to do, and how much you think you'd enjoy it.

But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
Actually, SB, the restriction keeps it from being broken in vintage/legacy/extended and VERY powerful in T2. Most of the time people play Time Walk in the first 2 turns if possible.
Nai: Yes, I have. Go to post #2 and read!! And I'd like Spam, if you have it.

Remember that these people are suggesting it probably so that they can get you to loosen up and experience new things; that in itself isn't bad.
Also remember how mean people can be in high school, and how easily misunderstood casual contact is between members of the opposite sex.
For that reason alone, not to downplay yor own misgivings about it, I would say thanks, but politely decline, pssibly even lie and make up a "previous engagement" or some such.

Dont get caught.
I think Snoop got it right there. Yeah it feels a bit shameful becasue you will be lying to a friend but it isnt worth going and then being disappointed along with bored and finding your night totally ruined, I know. This exact thing happened to me last year for prom. Just make sure that it is a believeable lie and be sure not to get caught otherwise you will never hear the end of it.
EDIT: Elite Beat Agents may be the best game on the DS. Who thought that I could find fun in a Cher song. It goes to show ya. Mindless fun is good when it is done right.
Elite Beat Agents is a great game because it plays the the strengths of the DS very well. (Well, making music isn't one of it's strengths, but the stylus and two-screen setup are.) It seems like virtually every game you see for the DS is "Older Title DS" - remakes of older games that perhaps have a clumsy use for the stylus or microphone loosely stapled on. Elite Beat Agents would not be a strong enough game to stand on its own if it used a traditional controller scheme, but as it is, it shines.
I can send you the file, Alacar, but I don't have your email (unless it's just your messanger handle @Yahoo.com).
I couldn't possibly pick a favorite Weird Al song. (Notice a trend here?) I tend to favor his older stuff as opposed to newer, probably simply for nostalgic reasons.

Grats to Kraj.
Yeah, I've played a little of it in a Gamestop store. I'm really thinking of picking it up when I get a DS. It seems a little difficult and frustrating at times, but it doesn't really matter when your having fun with it.
Hi everybody here! I'm Otaku Pupil (new here), and I was wondering if I could take part in this clan. I read the first page, and this seems like a fun place to be and get to know people.......is it?
P.S.-Elite Beat Agents is a fun game, even though I'm pretty bad at it

Thanks for the good wishes. Today has been my worst day yet. I just feel like my body is lsowing shutting down, and I fear it might just up and stop completely.
Thanks for all the happy birthdays, I appreciate it.
Also, I'm surprised about the number of Weird Al fans on here, I've been a Weird Al fan forever, and I've bought all of his albums. He's possibly the funniest person alive.
Never, played EBA, but I have a DS, and after hearing the good reviews, I may try it.
@Strongbad: I've had the same experiences with that kind of stuff, and I suggest just going and having a good time. If you keep thinking "this is not for me" then it won't be, and if you don't go, you'll regret it. Your best option is to attempt to open up your mind, go, and have a good time.

EDIT: Welcome to Otaku Pupil! Believe me, this place is great.

Welcome to the 'House. It's a cool place. I just started showing up here myself actually.
Yeah, I've played a little of it in a Gamestop store. I'm really thinking of picking it up when I get a DS. It seems a little difficult and frustrating at times, but it doesn't really matter when your having fun with it.
The harder levels get really hard but its so fun and has amazing replay value.

Hello, Otaku Pupil! I hope you enjoy this place, being new and all. Have fun!

OMG... I have an understudy? Cool. And you seem to know your way around photoshop, just like me.
Seriously though, you showed up at a good time. I'm just about to post up this week's anime of the week. I need to work more on my Guide to AMVs (it's only about 20% done), but alas, I haven't the time. I've been too busy watching Galaxy Angel A, GITS: 2nd Gig, and A Tree of Palme. Tomorrow I'm heading up to WSU for my two-day adventure, so I won't have time to work on it then either.
Happy B-day, Alpha. Tanjobi de omedatou gozaimasu!
OMG, Mr. Stuff! You probably have one of the largest anime collections I have ever seen! I've only heard of maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of those. (Hence why I'm a pupil)
Yeah, I like photoshopping, usually just small things. But I can't wait to read your guide to AMVs. I've always wanted to make one, but I don't know how to use my movie making/editing program.
And one last thing, you speak Japanese! My cousin is studying japanese too. She plans to go to Japan and become a video game creator.
So whats the anime of the week, sensei
Hugs to you too, Cecilia!

Woot for new Otaku. Good to know that Anime-lovers can unite in this clan.
Yukora: When you last saw a doctor is a good question. Sounds like you're having a lot of trouble right now.
If you guys are into RPing at all (more plugging), go check out CharlieD's "Under the Petals" deal. Real unique among WPs, in that you play kids, not adventuring adults. It's a nice change of pace, and fun to boot. I'm not really that far in it (as far as you can get in a WP), but I'd recommend heartily that every RPer amongst us checks it out.
Alacar, that write-up was wonderful. Just one thing...
*Tsk Tsk* There is so a Spam from Weird Al. It's a pardoy of "Stand" by R.E.M. I'd upload the file if I could.

And thanks everyone. Who will next week's Regular be?? Well you all know the regular, but I'm not telling who.
I like the banner, Fox.. even though Link is very blue in that picture.. The avatar makes me dizzy.
