The Rules of Limited.
1.) Be respectful to your fellow clan members. I trust everyone here to be polite to each other and not flame. If you flame someone in this thread or in the draft subforum, it is a boot from limited unless you write the person a sincere apology.
2.) Be respectful to other members of MTG Salvation. You represent [Limited]. Be mindful of that and kind to other clan members and other people on the site.
3.) Keep me from having to make other rules. I trust all of you. Follow the Clan forum guidelines and you should be fine.

I Do Not Have Invite Powers For the MODO Counterpart of the Limited Clan
If you want an invite to the modo side of the clan, PM Pseudofate. If you talk to me, I'll forward the PM to Pseudofate, but it's really just easier to PM him.
To join, simply post below with something to the effect of "I'd like to join." Make sure that it is clear, because if you just write "cool idea!" I won't know whether to add you or not.
Please also post a little something about your experience with limited. It can be your favorite limited format of all time, how you got into limited, what you would like to get out of a limited clan... or all of the above!
New Rule (7/8/2010): Due to an influx of people joining and never posting again, your name will not be added to the member roster until your second post.
If you are already in a clan and would like to be a friend of limited, please post saying so. Make sure to add something about your experiences with limited, as mentioned above.
Thank you, and welcome!

Limited Activities!
Okay, so [Limited] has been meeting up on MODO to draft. The drafts have been trending towards sometime on Sunday, but we usually start discussion towards the weekend about when and what format. Check periodically to see when we might be drafting, and what format. If you want to start a clan draft, simply say so. Pick a format, pick a time. You don't have to be an officer or someone who has run one before.
We usually do swiss, since it gives us the most opportunity to play each other. Before a draft, we all meet up in a chat room called "mtgslimited" inside modo. To enter, just type "/join mtgslimited" in any chat box.
New thread, yo How bout we get a new banner at some point? One that includes Mulldrifter?
Also, everyone should remember to change the link in their signature (if they have one).
The member list also needs some real updating - many of those on that list there haven't posted in like a year.
Yeah... I've been playing with the idea of handing my clanly duties off to someone else, for those reasons.
If people would like to help with memberlist clean up, feel free to do the following.
1.) Take a member's name.
2.) Search the last clan thread for a post from that member. (I normally give people two clan threads grace period, but... if someone hasn't posted since August, that's long enough)
3.) If someone has zero posts in the last clan thread, PM me their name and I will take the necessary next steps.
Usually, for officers, I'll PM them and ask them if they'd like to remain in limited. Or I'll look back an extra thread or two to see how truly inactive they are.
For regular members, if they haven't been posting I just retire them. If anyone gets retired who doesn't want to be, simply post again.

Right now I'm waiting to see if I become more active or not. I'm still lurking quite a bit, I just haven't had much to say. I had a life event (nothing negative, don't worry!) that took my attention away from the forum for a few weeks, and dramatically decreased how much magic I felt like playing.
Bateleur would be an excellent candidate if I do decide to step down, but for right now, I'm going to see whether I become more active or not.

Yeah, I didn't love Zendikar either, but I wanted to pick cards which were significant in their corresponding Limited formats and were from recent sets. The reason there are two from Zendikar is because I was left at the end needing a Red card that fit the remaining gap in the art both in terms of shape and content.
As far as running the Clan goes: sorry, but no. I log on to Salvation mostly in work breaks, which are frequent but short. As such, I don't want to have any duties here which are too much like work or it defeats the object!

I'm so glad that I'm not the literal worst player ever. I just beat a guy who was playing some UG thing in sealed with mindshrieker, ludvics abomination and vorapede. The guy just went 0-4 with his deck despite managing things like having a leveled abomination and vorapede on the board at the same time.
I think I'll learn how to not suck someday, but that day is far far away.

Abomination under Bonds or Claustrophobia or tapped down, Vorapede got raced? Or do you also mean that both were unanswered and he couldn't work out that it would be a good idea to attack?
I had a nightmare dealing with a Vorapede in a draft game yesterday. I had Traitorous Blood in hand, but only just noticed in time that if the Vorapede died under my control my opponent would still control the reborn version. I ended up killing the opponent exactly because his freshly cast chump blocker on the turn I was forced to alpha strike just happened to have only 2 toughness.

Nice banner - if you want a suggestion then Loxodon Warhammer to replace one of the Zen cards! That was a limited "defining" card in a way. But then I guess there isn't much love for the hammer A better suggestion is probably Surreal Memoir or the get-back-spell Wall which name eludes me.

In that it's literally the all-time #1 card responsible for spoiling my enjoyment of Limited games? Yeah, that's not much love.
(Still, on the plus side that bad experience gave me a few free draft wins at the start of 3x Ins season because everyone was underrating Butcher's Cleaver!)

It was unanswered. The test subject had 3 counters and instead of racing me (he already knew that I had no answer to abomination) with it, he played the vorapede and tried to race my lingering souls with it. Had he made the abomination, I wouldn't have been able to race.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."
I started off the MTGO release season fairly well, with multiple 3-1 finishes and one 4-0, but the last few times I have played I just ran poorly in early rounds and then tilted because of it so I lost games I should not have. I just ran out of product after buying it for the first sealed I played, and I'm not sure I'll buy more though it was really fun while it lasted. I like this format a lot, but I feel that the power difference in sealed pools can be absolutely huge. It seems to me that because the power level of all the cards in the sets varies so much based on what else is in the deck that you can have not a single strong deck option in a pool because you have a bunch of cards that each may be powerful in their own deck but you don't reach a critical mass of any strategy for the synergy to matter.
Open a pool with amazing synergy across two colours and multiple absurd bombs, then draw great opening hands in every game and play well all day. That will get you to day two. Then you have to pick your colours in each draft such that you're the only player at the table drafting that deck. Also, open great rares in your colours. Again, draw well and play well. Repeat this with every draft across the second day and you'll eventually win the GP.
Although be warned: it's not quite as easy as I make it sound.
