So work wasn't too busy today. There was an afternoon rush for people getting last minute BBQ stuffs and then there's the people who didn't buy enough beer or already drank all their beer and needed more... It's always busy when the cashier codenamed 'dumber' is working... She forgets to scan customer's coupons on a regular basis and can't do percentage off coupons. She forgets to scan the customer's store savings cards (which make things scan at sale price) on a regular basis and argues with you saying that she did when you tell her she didn't. So she's always calling for help up front. She also complains when she doesn't get as many hours to work as other people and then wonders why we all talk smack about her.
When I wasn't up front helping 'dumber', I managed to stock some shelves. Approximately, 18 totes worth of product.
Well... my sister was home for our 4th of July BBQ... and she forgot the pager she needs at work before heading back to her place... So I just drove to SF and back to deliver said pager... T-T FML...
Also, Syphon and I had a bit of a rules disagreement earlier.
I have a Glare of Subdual and plenty of guys I can tap for it. He has an Oblivion Stone. If he were to activate the Oblivion Stone, can I tap it in response to keep it from blowing up?

No. Tapping the stone is part of the cost.
@Syphon: I'm find being stand by. What are the details of the duel anyway?
EDH, Emperor style. The pack has some fangdinglydangshiny list on what cards are allowed and which ones aren't. Grinder and I have decks that are superbly tweaked. All we need is a third player, and since Snake hasn't been online for a while, we might need to call on your services.

[I was permabanned and all I got to show for it was .... well, nothing.]
Bad employees: I haven't experienced those very often, but here's NotAlwaysWorking!
Drawings: So as I said, I need to fix some things up for my next drawing (a star jump, which is similar to a straddle jump, but easier). For reference, here's my most recent drawing.
-I should take up more space on the page when I draw. If I draw too small, it's hard for me to draw detail properly. (The face - it looks like there's too much eye-liner or something.)
-Hands: I always show only the back of the hand because I have trouble drawing hands on their side view. I should fix that up for next time.
-Shading: This is something I need to work on. It will probably be easier to do if I don't make my drawings so small though. (The... chest area needs shading for purposes of having a proper drawing, even if I don't like having people look at that part of the body.)
So, we're the [AirCrafters] now? I can roll with that.
I don't really have any bad employee stories, but some guy decided to pry a digital camera off of a security pedestal at my work on the Fourth because "he wanted to see if it had the same battery as his camera". He just stood there with the camera in his hands while the alarm was going off. And this was after I provided him assistance in finding a universal battery charger only two minutes prior to him doing this . There was a whole lotta stupid going around that day (I went to McDonald's for my lunch break and some kids were walking along the street firing off Roman candles in the restaurant's general direction !)
And I don't see how these kids got ahold of these fireworks due to:
1) obviously being under 18 and
2) a supposed Burn Ban being in effect due to the extremely dry weather.
Maybe it was the heat, alcohol, or both? Anyway, that's all I have for now. Needless to say, I can't wait for Saturday's prerelease!
Oh, even since working with the public, I've discovered the depths of idiocy I could never imagine. I hate people because of that.
I've decided, when I move in with my BF, if he gets his good job, I'm not working. I'd rather be a housegirlfriend and not be mad all the time. My job will be to make my BF happy. :3
Oh. I need a girlfriend to temper my hatred for things. But I won't get one. So my hatred is never tempered. Oh, the irony.
I have a test I need to pass on tuesday, but I am strangely apathetic. Does anybody have any tips on studying? Hints on information retention? Anything?

I find that I remember things more often if I write them down, even more than if I type them.
How are you at taking notes?
Some classes allow you to bring in a page/pages of your own notes--any chance this class/test offers that as an option?
Don't worry, friend. A lot of things don't make sense, so we're still pals.
As far as retention goes, that reminds me of a video I saw in high school entitled: ACRONYM
Asleep: Repeat the knowledge you need to retain as you fall asleep (or even set up a recording). Let it plant itself into your subconscious. Cram cards: Make up some index cards and review the material Rhythm & Rhyme: Mnemonic devices like songs or poems work wonders toward retaining knowledge (ex: "Janey's Got A Gun" sounds like "2000 Pounds is a Ton") Over and Over: Repetition makes it stick Nonsense: That... kind of ties into Rhythm and Rhyme. Make up some kind of silly reference to something so you can associate it (ex: Sitting Bull sits to eat pudding which is kind of like custard which sounds like the name of the general he killed in the Battle of Little Big Horn... General Custer!) Y: As in "why". Understand why something is so. Make sure to tie everything together. Memorize: Pretty self-explanatory.

That's bloody brilliant! I wish I had this in Highschool! (I retain only random trivia and information. >___>)
When it comes to math, I tend to remember some formulas, then I keep mental notes to myself that some formulas can be derived from others. So that's how I keep everything together.
Anyways... so today, it was warmer up here in Canada than it was when I was in Europe. Yikes.
Mental note to myself: Tomorrow is the M13 prerelease. I shouldn't expect that much forum activity. (Good luck to anyone who's going!)
(Also, random note... Kank got some people doing exercise in the You Make The Rules game. That was fun. I hope people aren't going to turn that thread into a game of controlling peoples' lives...)
My LGS is actually having a midnight prerelease right as we speak (in addition to one on Sat and Sun), but I think I'll get some rest and attend the one that's slated for noon (hopefully all of the Talrand decks aren't sold out by then *crosses fingers* ).
I'm going for the pretty elf Lady too... And I pretty much couldn't decide which store I was going to do the prerelease at and ChannelFireball closed down their pre-reg, so it looks like I'll be going to the other LGS where I can support them by paying door price and then pre-reg for Sunday tomorrow... I was seriously expecting to go to ChannelFireball to pre-reg in-store at FNM, but the guy then tells me that pre-reg for the whole weekend is closed and the only way to pre-reg was online... See, that's something I'm good at. Making paper airplanes! :3
I need to learn to draw too. I have not artistic talent.

My BF hates a lot of things. Mostly people. He's also a jerk sometimes, but he's also smart, nice, handsome, and... Ummm... <3
Why do you think you can't get a GF?
Speaking of vicious:
Snake's withdrawn from the team for EDH. PeeGee, get warmed up.
I could say the same thing, but for different reasons. Scrawny, nerd, withdrawn. People are scared of my powers.
