I use a different e-mail address for each website I am registered on, and I've just received spam at my MTGS e-mail address. The most likely explanation, imho, is that MTGS's database security has somehow been compromised? This e-mail address is nowhere publicly visible, afaik.
It is a phishing e-mail purporting to be from Blizzard:

If an MTGS admin could look into the issue, please let me know, and I can forward you the raw headers of the e-mail.
We absolutely don't sell your addresses, and I am sure that they haven't been leaked. There must be an explanation for this and I'll try to get to the bottom of it.
I personally haven't received the email on any of the couple addresses I have used here (for testing accounts and so on).
I have received two reports of this so far, and both had email address with the exact same prefix. I think the most likely explanation is that the address was "guessed".
Did someone else receive this exact email? If so, to which address?

No, I do use this for everything...so that's probably not helpful. But it seems more than a coincidence that both the OP and I got it this close together.
I received a similar e-mail a few days ago, except it detailed the notification of me selling a WoW account (which is futile, as I've never touched the game). Agreed with Cabal_chan that there might be something up on Blizzard's side of the equation.
@OP - You really have a different email for every website you're registered at ever? That's really diligent.
You don't necessarily need a different email account. Gmail has a nifty feature where anything after a '+' is ignored. Let's say your email address is cooldude@gmail.com. If you sign up at the website example.com with cooldude+example.com@gmail.com then anything addressed to cooldude+example.com will end up at cooldude@gmail.com. You can setup filters to look for the +example.com and perform a certain action. I like to use it to see just who sold my address to some spam company. If I see cooldude+blizzard.com@gmail.com (note, not my real email) in my spam folder then I know Blizzard has sold my address or somehow lost control of it.
I caught that e-mail in my spam folder and deleted it without reading it. I didn't actually think that it would have anything to do with MTGS though. Then again, I registered this MTGS account under my "spam e-mail"
I also got this message, twice now. I also use a unique email address just for this site that isn't used anywhere else. I can tell you Blizzard has nothing to do with this because I don't subscribe to any Blizzard services at all and own none of their games.
or dinosaur pirates!!! big hulking dinos with eye patches and peglegs and troll the ocean on their ships made of smaller dinosaur bones in search or treasures. I would sooo go for that. or better yet, slave dinosaurs that serve the pirates like some sick dinotopia world where people own the dinos.
I've also been getting those phishing emails for a while now, but having played with Blizz products and using the same email for years now, I never really thought that MTGS might be the source.
This exact email has been around for several months as a Google search revealed. On one of my accounts where I receive a lot of spam I have several copies of it (and unrelated to MTGS).
ganderin_dan also said he received several copies, it might be that whoever sends those just sent out a couple million today.
With multiple people insisting that they're receiving these email addresses at an email that they ONLY use for MTGS, it seems like this should be looked into, not just dismissed.
I have. However my email is for almost everything. I also own Blizz games as well (SCII, DiabloII, WoW) but ya. I'm pretty sure its just an "email this to aaaaaaaa@example.com-zzzzzzz@example.com" kinda deal.

There are actually exactly two users so far. And both of them received a different email (though WoW related), sent from different email addresses and having a different format, so it's unlikely they are from the same batch, and they are three days apart.
I also have recieved this email, after checking my spam folder just now, at about 9:50 this morning. However, I use this email for many things, and have Blizzard products registered to it, even though that appears to be irrelevant.
I would say that it is unlikely to be MTGS, and more of a spam-bomb if you will.
@OP - You really have a different email for every website you're registered at ever? That's really diligent.
Well, I control several domain names, including gemini6ice (dot-com). So when i register for a website, it's simply a matter of registering [some unique name, such as the website's name]@[my domain name].
I have my webhosting set up to flow all e-mail into one mailbox. It's pretty simple.

I think both of these suspicions are probably true.
Just thought I would say, since Hannes is looking for more users that I have received WoW related e-mails twice now and have reported both of them to hotmail as phishing e-mails.
I haven't played a Blizzard game since WarCraft3 and haven't had anything to do with Battle.net since Diablo2. Maybe Blizzard needs to clean up their databases every once in a decade.

I play wow like i play magic, a fair bit... I recieve on average 3-10 emails a day which are all phishing scams. All i gotta say is good luck getting past my authenticator. Note: these emails are NOTHING to do with Blizzard, they are third parties trying to get your info to hack your account.

I haven't gotten the money ones via my MTGS address (yet). I don't play WoW either, which is what made it (even more) obviously a phishing e-mail.

Just got this a minute ago as well.
Do you use your email address only for MTGS?
No, I do use this for everything...so that's probably not helpful. But it seems more than a coincidence that both the OP and I got it this close together.
EDIT: And I don't have any Blizzard products
Just checked. I also used my e-mail for StarCraft II(Blizzard). So it might be something happening over there.
Edit: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1922564698 someone over there has posted about it too.
