Warren Rioter3R
Creature - Goblin Warrior (C)
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may discard a card. If you do, put two 1/1 red Goblin creature tokens with haste onto the battlefield. Those tokens and Warren Rioter must attack this turn if able. Put too many angry goblins in one place and a riot is unavoidable.

Target creature gets +X/+X until end of turn where X is the total amount of +1/+1 counters on permanents you control. When you are truly part of a group, you can feel their strength pushing you into greatness.
Lawmage Apprentice1W
Creature - Human Soldier Wizard (C) Batallion - Whenever Lawmage Apprentice and at least two other creatures attack, you may detain target permanent.

I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Mortuary AmblerBB
Creature - Thrull Cleric {C}
Intimidate.
Sacrifice Mortuary Ambler: Return target creature from your graveyard to your hand. If you do, put a card from your hand on top of your library.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Creature- Human Knight (C)
Whenever you gain life, Gilded Paladin gets +2/+0 until end of turn. Officially he belongs neither to the Boros nor the Orzhov, but his faith in both is strong.
1/2
Challenge: 1,5/2: Boros is not really incorporated as neither Radiance nor Battalion are recognizable. The +2/+0 is offensive orientated; I'll give 0,5 points for that.
The lifegain points towards Orzhov's white part of extort, so a full 1/1 for that. Creativity: 1,5/2: This feels like a card that could already exist. Not 100% original, but fits well. The flavor text is a bit forced. Printability: 1/2: This card could be printed, but it's unplayable in a deck that wants to be Orzov + Boros. The WW makes it too hard to cast on curve. That said, in a 2-color deck or mono-white this card can be great. Your lifegain spells are suddenly boost cards. For a few mana, this guy can do 3 to 5 damage when unblocked. Combine it with Extort and you've got a bomb. I think this card should not be common for that reason. Total: 4/6
Rakdos/Golgari
Masked Maniac :2mana::symb:
Creature - Human Warrior [C]
Discard a creature card: Masked Maniac gains intimidate until end of turn. One for every nightmare.
3/1 Challenge: 2/2: Discarding creatures works well with both scavenge and dredge, so 1/1 for Golgari. Hellbent needs your hand to be empty, so the discarding works for Rakdos too. Creativity: 0,5/2: The card flavor and text is based on TV Horror and doesn't fit well in the MTG world. It is flavorful, just not the right kind of flavor. Printability: 1,5/2: This card feels right at common. Apart from the flavor, I could see this printed. Total: 4/6
Changed my mind yet again, since I still have time, I'm doing one that I haven't seen done yet. Gruul and Izzet!
Rage Striker2RR
Creature - Elemental Shaman {C}
Bloodthirst 2
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, Rage Striker deals 1 damage to target opponent.
2/2 Challenge: 1,5/2: Gruul Bloodthirst is used literally, so 1/1 there. The instant/sorcery trigger has a bit of synergy with what Izzet wants to do with replicate and overload. Creativity: 1/2: The card doesn't have much flavor. The name and the abilities do match. Printability: 0,5/2: A 4/4 for 4 mana with a trigger should not be common. The combination of abilities is a bit forced. I do like how it triggers other bloodlusts. For the trigger to really be a help, you would need this card in multiples, and 4 mana is too much for that. Total: 3/6
Boros and Rakdos:
Howling Devil-KinR
Creature - Devil Warrior (C)
Whenever Howling Devil-Kin attacks, another target attacking creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn. To the Boros, his howls are inspiring shouts of motivation. To the Rakdos, they're crazed calls, egging them on to attack. 1/1 Challenge: 1/2: The attack trigger has obvious synergy with Battalion. I don't see the Rakdos synergy. Creativity: 2/2: I like well-designed 1/1 commons for 1 mana. I love the flavor text and it fits the name and abilities well. Printability: 1,5/2: It's a bit on the weak side. It will help Battalion probably once and die. I would've liked it better if the word 'other' wasn't on there. I do see this printed. Total: 4,5/6
Dimir and Golgari together!
Infiltrator Remains2B
Creature — Zombie (C)
Transmute 2BB(2BB, Discard this card: Search your library for a card with the same converted mana cost as this card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library. Transmute only as a sorcery.)
Scavenge 3B(3B, Exile this card from your graveyard: Put a number of +1/+1 counters equal to this card's power on target creature. Scavenge only as a sorcery.) Used in life by Dimir, used in death by Golgari.
2/2 Challenge: 1,5/2: Transmute always costs 3 mana. Apart from that, the abilities obviously match. Creativity: 0/2: I don't see how searching for a card fits the flavor of the name. Slapping 2 guild abilities on the card is not very creative. Printability: 0/2: That's a lot of power for a common. Searching a card for 3 mana is definately not common and after you did that, you get 2 +1/+1 counters. Total: 1,5/6
Azorious + Boros
Lawmage Apprentice1W
Creature - Human Soldier Wizard (C) Batallion - Whenever Lawmage Apprentice and at least two other creatures attack, you may detain target permanent.
2/1 Challenge: 2/2: Batallion and detain. That's 2/2 Creativity: 0,5/2: The name and creature type are a bit farfetched, and there is room for flavor text. 2/1 for a 'lawmage' seems a bit odd. Printability: 1,5/2: This combination of abilities works surprisingly well. It is well-costed. Apart from the flavor, this card could very well see print. Total: 4/6
Boros + Rakdos
Battalion + Hellbent
War-Crazed Ogre3R
Creature - Ogre Warrior (C)
When War-Crazed Ogre enters the battlefield, you may discard a card. If you do, creatures you control gain haste until end of turn.
4/2 Challenge: 2/2: Giving creatures haste is terrific for Batallion. Discarding a card obviously works with Hellbent. Creativity: 1,5/2: The name and ability fit well. A short flavor text would've been nice. Printability: 2/2: I can't think of a reason why this shouldn't see print. Total: 5,5/6
3rd place: Link (there was a 3-way tie here. I gave the nod to the most creative card)
2nd place: Asrama
1st place: Koolkoal
Gilded Paladin: I see how he gets along with Orshov really well, Extort can make him bomb really hard, however, i don`t see how Boros help him at all. Extort procs off spells so you could be playing cantrips that give you life and rack up a big swing. I like this card for RtR Orshov, but i can`t find the charm
aurorasparrow
Masked Maniac: A very simple mix of 2 guilds that want to get rid of cards in their hand, albeit for very different reasons, efficient beater, and the link is really invisible, thing i find appeasing
Arcel
Rage Strike: This is a BIG stretch on the common slot in my opinion. I like how it makes any instant or sorcery shoot off Bloodthirst, but giving it Bloodthirst as well seems like a slight overkill. Could have been common with lower numbers
Asrama
Howling Devil-Kin: Both are guilds that like to attack, and i see this to be good to lead on with Boros on their side to aid the battalion clause, being a really efficient weenie creature. How it help Rakdos other than them being big and fat when Unleashed is beyond me, however. Regardless, i like the card, its just so sad how Signal Pest one-ups it so hard ):
Solesticio
Infiltrator Remains: I believe transmute is meant to cost 1CC. Regardless, a tutor spell and a buff spell, both at a rather fair investment of mana, sounds like a good combo for Limited, although honestly, this felt obvious
Maokun
Lawmage Apprentice: A TAD too strong at its cost, Detain is a really powerful effect to be flinging around repeatedly and Firefist Strike is uncommon
KoolKoal
War-Crazed Ogre: Man i`d run this, the similarities with Lightning Elemental are acceptable cost to cost, giving all your creatures haste means good times for Boros, giving itself haste is already good. Would say this is a stretch to common, but the costs and the ETBs are just so pretty together
Choose two guilds that share a color, then design a common mono-colored card of that shared color which shows synergy between at least one of each guild's mechanics [-not a card that has the guild mechanics themselves].
(For example, if you choose Simic and Golgari, you will need to create a G common that has synergy with at least one of evolve/graft and one of scavenge/dredge [- not a card that has evolve/graft and/or scavenge/dredge].)
Most people don’t like haunt. I do. I think you’ve implemented it quite well. The card has an ability of one guild and synergy with the other.
Subtle yet not. It has nice synergy with its parent guilds. The flavor is core-set generic. I like it.
Nice Aura. It has nice synergy with its parent guilds. The flavor is core-set generic. I like the card itself. Good stuff.
Cool card but too complicated and powerful to be common. The flavor feels contrived. Though it does have synergy with its parent guilds.
A fine design. It has synergy with its parent guilds, but isn’t very original. Not to say that everything is must be original, but this design has been around for a long time. Nice flavor text.
Very cool card. Not a common though. Too complicated and powerful in multiples if not individual. I’m pretty sure that under the New World Order, Evolve at common is considered enough for new players to wrap their minds around without having to grasp the second ability’s ramifications. Also the card doesn’t really have synergy with its parent guilds but rather has their actual abilities.
Great design that has abilities of its parent guilds rather than synergy with them.
It’s a decent Aura. The flavor doesn’t fit the mechanic. The mechanic fills half of the challenge in that it has synergy with Cipher but imitates Detain rather than interacting with it.
