discarding 2 lands basically lets you cast a spell again. the main difference of using retrace instead of just wording it "discard two cards: you may play target instant or sorcery from your graveyard..." is that you only have to pay the ability's cost once and then only 1 land for each retrace (considerably cheaper)
Er, you still have to discard a land to give it retrace each time. When it changes zones, it loses retrace.

Also, guys, RE-READ THE CHALLENGE. Deathtouch and "return to hand" are not non-evergreen keywords. Flashback works. Battlecry works. Flying does not. "Sacrifice this: Deal 1 damage to target creature" does not. (Note that I won't penalize you for ALSO giving stuff flying or whatever, just make sure it also gives a non-evergreen one too). Creature cards you control gain "Multikicker 1W" and "This creature comes into play with X +1/+1 counters where X is the number of times it was kicked". Not even a master will share his skills for free.
IIW - Your Greatest Fear
Should be "creature cards you own that aren't in play" (see Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir). The flavour is cool - maybe kicking it also put counters on the counter as "payment" for the training (maybe that's too black) - but lack of p/t makes this hard to judge. It's also not too interesting, as all it does is make your guys a bit bigger (lots of card do that, and in a way that isn't as complex as this).
Altar of Salvation3W
Artifact
Creatures you own that are not in play have Convoke. This can not reduce their converted mana cost to less than 1. (Each creature you tap while playing a creature with Convoke reduces it cost by 1 or by one mana of that creature color.) They knelt at the altar, praying for their salvation to come.
IIW: A cartoon villain in Legendary Form
You met the challenge, but there's nothing really unique about this entry, and it isn't doing anything in a unique way. The flavour doesn't really mesh well with Convoke as a mechanic, either, and Convoke as a mechanic is kind of bland.

Grow Your Own Eldrazi5

Creatures you control have "Level Up 3". (3: Put a level counter on that creature. Level up only as a sorcery)
Creatures you control with one or more level counters get +1/+1 and have trample.
Creatures you control with three or more level counters get an additional +3/+3 and have Annihilator X, where X is the number of level counters on that creature.
IIW: A nice awesome piece of flavourful equipment.
Haha, it's funny that you basically had to rework the entire mechanic onto the enchantment to make it work. It's pretty clever, and the abilities it gives are simple so it's unlikely to cause confusion. I think the Annihilator number should be a a fixed number (1 or 2 to be safe), because people are going to want to put a billion level counters on their creatures which will create confusing bookeeping issues with all the other kinds of counters out there (+1/+1 counters mostly), and leveller creatures traditionally (and purposefully) did not get any better once you reached their highest level, also for bookeeping reasons (players will put counters on their guy if they think it ever matters, when most of the time it won't). Name is a bit silly, but I like it.
Corrupted Tangle
Land - Forest
Corrupted Tangle enters the battlefield tapped. G, T, Sacrifice a creature: Target creature gets +2/+2 and gains infect until end of turn.
IIW: 187 creatures (destroy a target permanent when they ETB).
I don't like this being a Forest; having a useful utility land tutorable with Misty Rainforest and co is very dangerous. The ability is cool, though, and sac outlets are always a good thing to have on a land. I wish this had more flavour/flavour text so I could understand what's happening with the card (rarity would be good too).
The story sort of was this: Angel is good but the horrors of war are slowly corrupting her towards evil. Evil takes over the angel and she falls. As a fallen angel, she continues to fight but now she that, even though she commits evil, her actions serve the greater good. Unfortunately, she comes to the realization that the "greater good" is best served by a sort of Noah's Arc type reenvisioning of the world, wiping everything clean but leaving the possibility for it to return.

IIW: Creative Planeswalkers
I think you forgot to change/delete the flavour piece, as I doubt very much it connects to the card. This is actually really cool; it's like a Sneak Attack that only gives you the ETB/LTB effects of your creatures at a cheap cost, and it pumps up his fragile, but efficient body. It gets very silly with a number of cards (evoke Emrakul, evoke Brutalizer Exarch putting Emrakul on top, UHHHHHHH) but it's fair for the most part. Maybe could cost a little more (yeah...Emrakul) and flavour text would help me understand what's going on with this thing better.
Temporary Sheltering2W
Enchantment
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you may pay W. If you do, it has "Hideaway (This land enters the battlefield tapped. When it does, look at the top four cards of your library, exile one face down, then put the rest on the bottom of your library.)", "2W,T: You may play the exiled card without paying its mana cost.", and vanishing 2.
IIW: EEEXXXPPPLLLOOODDDEEE
woahhhh that's a lot of stuff happening. Not only are you exiling cards under random lands (well, not as its currently worded since by the time the land enters, it's too late for the Hideaway trigger to, uh, trigger), but you're also putting counters on them and giving the player the ability to play a free spell off their top 4 for what is effectively 2WW + sac a land. This is doing too much, both complexity-wise and power-wise.
Armor Slime2W
Creature - Ooze (R)
Multikicker 1
When Armor Slime enters the battlefield, put a absorb counter on target creature for each time Armor Slime was kicked.
Creatures you control gain Absorb X where X is the amount of absorb counters on them.
2/3
IIW: Mafia
This is worded pretty confusingly; does the creature that gets the counters (because the way this is worded, it's only one creature that gets them) cause all your guys to get Absorb X = to his counters, or it it only the guy with the counters? @_@ Note that creatures "have" things if it's a continuous effect, they don't "gain" it (unless it's an indefinite effect, but this doesn't look like one). I kind of don't like this as a rare, because either your opponent kills the sliver before the ETB counter effect resolves (thus none of your guys have absorb) or he just dies to non-damage removal and you have a guy with random counters on him.
Strifeheart Cemetery
Legendary Land (M)
When Strifeheart Cemetery enters the battlefield sacrifice all other lands you control.
:symb::symb::symb::symtap: All sorcery and instant spells you play this turn have Gravestorm. The world had long-since forgotten she was buried there, but she had not forgotten the world.
IIW: fancy jewelry
I like this set of synergistic abilities, and I like that your opponent can't really stop you from doing this evil thing (outside of stifle or something). I can't see wotc printing this though, considering modern design philosophy, and it seems rather hard to set up since you need a bunch of lands (and if you have a bunch of lands, you can probably just cast something big) but it seems fun to build around. The flavour text is pretty BA.
some abilties should have been keyworded by now though, I'm a strong advocate of firebreathing [mana cost]

Soil Drainer1GG
Creature - Treefolk Shaman (R)
Discard a land card: Target instant or sorcery in your graveyard gains retrace until end of turn.

discarding 2 lands basically lets you cast a spell again.
I bet somebody will be able to break this with plow under or time warp though ;-)
IIW:
a robot samurai (artifact samurai is ok too if you dislike the robot creature type)
It's a green (repeatable) Snapcaster! I like the land theme and how it makes it harder to abuse the retrace since you need lots of lands. I wish it was sorcery speed, as green is a "sorcery speed" kind of guy and it gives you the ability to be too reactive otherwise, and yeah, this seems like it could create some pretty degenerate decks. Maybe some mana to the activation cost to make it less easy to abuse. It's cool though.
Crucible of Dust3 Artifact
Land cards you own have Cycling 2.
Lands you control on the battlefield gain "2, sacrifice this land: Draw a card."
IIW: Make a popular movie character a Legend.
Haha, excellent twist on Crucible of Worlds. Get out of here, lands! I really like the "cycling, but for permanents" you have for the second ability; I really like these kinds of twists on mechanics. I don't have much else to say on the card; it's fair and seems printable, though a bit unexciting or unique. Also, I'm preeeetty sure that you need a "that aren't on the battlefield" for the first ability, since as reworded, it should only give it to lands on the field, which is...pretty useless hurr durr.
Been a while since I posted--life has ways of keeping me off the internet.
Anyway, an entry:
Noeric DrakeX1RR Creature - Drake
Flying
Noeric Drake enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
Creatures you control have devour X, where X is the number of +1/+1 counters on Noeric Drake.
2/2
This won't work as you intend; the creature will come into play before it has the ability, so you won't be able to sac (Bloodlord of Vaasgoth is who you should look to for fixes). I really like how the ability scales ( and how the drake itself is also scaleable), but this needs to be a dragon or phoenix or something, because "makin' all my guys monsters who eat others for power" does not scream "DRAKE". Flavour is kind of missing (I don't know what "Noetic" is).
Battlecry of Samuro2RBG Legendary Enchantment
Attacking creatures you control with trample have deathtouch, first strike and frenzy 2.
Lol, so, it makes them unblockable. This kind of seems like a bunch of "rrrrr power" abilities slapped together with no real originality behind it. It's also both narrow AND unfun in play. I don't like.

See Eron's card (second one judged) for the correct wording of this ability. I like that yours is a creature to help with the convoke, and this definitely fits in more with convoke flavour, but it's just not a very original concept, and there's nothing particularly interesting about it. I really do like that flavour text though.
Rampaging Vagueness2UBG

wait no, there IS a card I have to disqualify. D: I'm sorry, but your card doesn't meet the challenge, which was to make a card that gives a non-evergreen keyword to another card, and while this has a keyword, it only has it for itself. The creature type ability is really cool, though, and creates some interesting deck-building choices (though Changelings kind of make it easy), but he would have been better as a 5/5 or something.

IIW: Defer win to TurboJustice. (Holiday Cards)
Hope TurboJustice wins, I really like that design.
@card: It's second and third abilities don't actually have any synergy together, which is weird and kind of ruin the aesthetic of the card. I like that it gives itself all creature types so it combos with cards that untap certain creatures (though note that as printed it will untap as a normal land, since lands don't untap "during your upkeep"), and a Conflux attached to a land is interesting (I still like ninja's card better though)
mistakes were made. it's been a while since i was here. if i could do it over, it would be a 2/2 for 1RR with devour 1 (and a few other minor fixes).

I really do like that flavour text though.
wait no, there IS a card I have to disqualify.
NEXT CHALLENGE: A nice awesome piece of flavourful equipment.

Oh balls, I'm sorry Eskimo.
@card: It's second and third abilities don't actually have any synergy together, which is weird and kind of ruin the aesthetic of the card. I like that it gives itself all creature types so it combos with cards that untap certain creatures (though note that as printed it will untap as a normal land, since lands don't untap "during your upkeep"), and a Conflux attached to a land is interesting (I still like ninja's card better though)
and i suck at names. hard.
though good work judging
