Legendary Creature - Human Giant Sorcerer (R)
Exalted 2: Choose one of this creature's abilities. Target creature gains that ability until end of turn. 'He bestowed upon his people the Rune Magicks, which he had rightfully stolen from the Witch-knot.' - The Culuth Chronicles 3/3
Introducing a new keyword: "spoked".
The 'spoked' keyword appears on permanent cards. It is invariably followed by a series of words, called 'the spokes'.
Permanents with spoked enter the battlefield with one spoke counter on it, unless stated otherwise. The amount of spoke counters determines which is 'the current spoke'. One such counter means the first spoke is current, two counters means the second spoke is current, and so on.
Whenever the number of spoke counters on a permanent with spoked exceeds the number of spokes, a number of counters equal to the number of spokes is removed. (This is a new state-based effect.)
Whenever the number of spoke counters on a permanent with spoked is zero, the current spoke is 'void'.
Five-spoked Wheel
Artifact
Spoked white, blue, black, red, green
Whenever a player casts a spell that shares a color with the current spoke, that player draws a card and you put a spoke counter on Five-spoked Wheel. Fate favors the versatile.
Challenge: Make a permanent card with spoked. Or, make a card that goes through a cycle of sorts in another way.
1 point bonus if you do actually use 'spoked'.
I won't mind if my entry is too late to be judged, since I've been on the fence about entering this.

Erik, Cutthroat Captain :3mana::symb::symu:

When Erik, Cutthroat Captain enters the battlefield, your opponent removes a choice and then you chose one-- discard a card; or sacrifice a permanent; or lose 4 life.
:symtap:: Target opponent does the removed choice.
"Aye, I'd cut off me own hand if it meant I could choke ye with it."

Do you mean target opponent does the chosen choice? because why do you choose a choice after the opponent removed one if they already got to choose which ability they wanted?
Do you mean target opponent does the chosen choice? because why do you choose a choice after the opponent removed one if they already got to choose which ability they wanted?
In order, this happens:
1. I choose one of the three options (say, sac a permanent).
2. You choose one of the two remaining options (say, lose 4 life). That option happens (you lose 4 life).
3. You tap your guy, and I have to sac a permanent again. Each time you tap this guy I have to sac a permanent.
EDIT: if it doesn't work this way, then this guy is way better than he already is.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on. Unless you copypasted the massive multiquote of all the entries onto a Word document to judge from there. Or you had something urgent pop up unexpectedly. Or something.
Okay, I'm not trying to be a jerk to anyone guys, but this challenge has been up for way too long, and again, not trying to be a jerk, but Brofaux has twice posted that he was going to judge them, and still no judgings.
We came up for the reboot rules for a reason; so let's let the previous judge (Megiddo) come up with a challenge (MAYBE THE SAME ONE HINT HINT) and we can post cards (MAYBE THE SAME ONES HINT HINT) and have him judge them.
Fine, we can play your game. But I can't judge until tonight, so I will announce a winner now and then support it with judgings later on, since we all like these cards.
My favorite card of all of these was Erikcu's because of its unique effect. It needs significant cleaning up but I thought it was really cool when I first saw it.

Epic Late JUDGINGS
Gaura
Gaura, Power Seeker :symw::symu::symb:
Planeswalker - Gaura (Mythic Rare)
[+2]: Tap target creature, it doesn't untap during it's controller's next untap step.
[+X]: You lose X life
[-10]: Draw five cards.
[-20]: Remove target permanent from the game, draw three cards, and put a 5/5 black demon creature token with flying into play.
{5}
Normally Planewalkers don't have flavor text but: I'll halt any foe, endure great pain, and seek long lost knowledge. Whatever it takes to obtain more power.
Hmm... flavor seems like something that would embody... me. Hmm.. I like it, flavorwise. However, past that, it becomes apparent that this ard is overpowered because of the +X ability. Basically, if you've got any basic life gain, you can play this turn three/turn four, loose 20 life, then do the -20 ability, or even just the -10 ability. This could easily be a turn four/five game ender, for three mana. OP 70 C
Krey
Krey't Dragon :3mana::symr::symr:
Creature - Beast (R)
Intimidate
When Krey't Dragon is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, add :symr::symr::symr::symr::symr: to your mana pool.
4/4 The feared beast is known by many names along the desert. Almost as many as the legends of the treasure it carries within."
Ah, cool flavor text. I was wondering how you'd justify adding the mana.
In any case, this doesn't seem very mono-red, but I guess it's one of those exceptions.
It's a pretty cool card actually, I like the concept. Powerful even as a rare. Nothing mind blowing though. 85 B
Little Money
A Little Money -
Sorcery {Rarity: Bonus*}
Exile A Little Money with an investment counter on it. As long as it's exiled with any investment counters on it, put an investment counter on it at the beginning of your upkeep.
Remove five investment counters from A Little Money: Search your hand, library, and graveyard for a card named "A Great Fortune" and play it without paying its mana cost. Many soldiers who returned from the war had no jobs, little money, and even less loyalty to the crown.
Ugh... this card hurts my mind. =/ Why is it a sorcery? If you meant exile ~ from your hand, you should have said so, but then why the mana cost? I would have rather had this as an enchantment, would make more sense. In any case, Great fortune seems cool, and I like the card + card connection. Still, this is over complicated. 60 D
Meggido
Armageddon Engine
Artifact Creature - Golem {M}
When Armageddon Engine enters the battlefield, destroy all lands you control.
When Armageddon Engine leaves the battlefield, destroy all lands you don't control. A reminder that everything must end.
9/9
Hmm... I like the flavor text and the ability a lot. a 9/9 for seven mana isn't bad, even with the huge draw back. This isn't a game ender though, and that's the issue. It must leave the battlefield, and you're opponent can win by the time you do that. Also, it's a mythic rare, I think this card would be OK as a rare. 75 C
Crimson Crossfire
Field of the Crimson Crossfire
Legendary Land (mythic)
When~ enters the battlefield, pay :2mana::symr::symr::symw: or sacrifice ~
Whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from the battlefield on your turn, during the combat phase, creatures you control get +2/+2 until end of turn and there is an additional combat phase this turn, after which, sacrifice all creatures that attacked.
pay 3 life, add :symr::symr::symw: to your mana pool. "Enraged at the losses of their allies, the Bladescore decimated all of their enemies, before destroying themselves."
Yeesh, my mind hurts just looking at this card. I love the concept, but you've made it way to complicated, the "whenever" texta nd the additional combat phase + sacrifice clause makes this is a very unpleasing card, AND on top of that, there's the consulted tap ability. Ehh templating is a little off too. 65 D
Bertech.dk
Bertech, the dark one 3:symbu::symbu:
Legendary artifact creature - Abomination Rare
Flying, deathtouch
All creatures are artifacts and black. His presense changes everything, and not in a good way.
3/4
Hmm... 5 mana for a 3/4 flier with death touch? Well considering that it has evasion, death touch isn't all that great. Also, the ability "all creatures artifacts and black" is a HUGE drawback if you're playing black, which you most likely will with this card (Also, why hybrid? No reason for this to be mono blue). Why is this a big draw bag? It shuts down Intimidate (and thus Halo Hunter and such), as well as things like Doom blade or Terror and other black cards that affect non-black creatures. 65 D
Scarlet Blade 12
"Artifact". Hovana, The Scarlet Blade Legendary Artifact - EquipmentM
Equipped creature gets +X/+X, where X is your life total divided by two, rounded up.
At the beginning of your upkeep, as long as Hovana, The Scarlet Blade is equipped to a creature, you gain 1 life.
Equip :4mana:, Pay 4 life. "Through your blood comes my life. As you serve, so will I." ~ Incription
Interesting, I like the first clause. I like the over all concept, though this card would have been great if you did two things: Drop the equip cost to pay 3 life instead of 4, then removed the second clause. 75 C
FrozenThrawn
The Frozen Throne:6mana::symu::symu:
Artifact {R}
Permanents opponent's control do not untap during their untap step.
Pay 1 life: Untap a permanent you control. This ability may be activated only during your upkeep step. Any player may play this ability. "The one who sits in this throne will lose all trace of humanity and gain unimaginable power over their foes." Inscription on the throne.
Very cool, and quite possibly a game ender. This doesn't completely shut down your opponent's cards, but this could be fatal if they're low on life. i like this card a lot; the only thing is that this doesn't really seem like a "throne", and the flavor doesn't quite fit... 80 B
Erikcu
Erik, Cutthroat Captain :3mana::symb::symu:
Legendary Creature - Human Pirate
When Erik, Cutthroat Captain enters the battlefield, your opponent removes a choice and then you chose one-- discard a card; or sacrifice a permanent; or lose 4 life.
:symtap:: Target opponent does the removed choice.
"Aye, I'd cut off me own hand if it meant I could choke ye with it."
3/4
Very cool, I love this concept. This is quite a card, this forces your opponent into picking something that might hurt them just as much as it would hurt you. I love the flavor text, it really fits this card. Very cool card, and balanced. Fitting color, and nice render. I see no flaws with this card other than that the wording could have been better. 99 A
Arsenic Wrath
Arsenic Wrath :2mana::symw::symb::symb:
Enchantment
Whenever a source your opponent controls destroys a creature you control, put a Poison counter on that player. "Ah, sweet vengeance..."
Quite powerful, though I don't really see why this has white. Poisonous is BG, I believe. Also, this is a really simple card, but it's not awesome- simple cards are only good when they're awesome; they're less impressive otherwise. Also, as a 6 mana card, this isn't really a game ender. 75 C
Talore
Should say "other viking creatures you control have vigilance".
In any case, this is a pretty cool RW card, and as a viking, this is pretty good. This could actually be a very cool game ender if played properly. I would love this card in a RWG deck. Just imagining this with Behemoth Sledge makes my mouth water. 95 A
Surging Chaos
Surging Chaos :2mana::symr::symr::symr::symr:
Enchantment (MR)
When Surging Chaos enters the battlefield, destroy four lands at random.
Whenever an instant or sorcery spell is cast, flip a coin. If it comes up heads, copy that spell. If it comes up tails, counter that spell. (The controller of that spell may choose new targets for the copy.)
All creatures attack each turn if able.
All creatures block each turn if able. "Law and order are just two more structures for me to destroy." -- Chandra Nalaar
Very cool card; I just don't think that the colors fit. This would have been great as a RU card, but the spell copying and countering doesn't fit red at all. Everything thing else is perfect. 80 B
Ohmusama
Lord Ohmu :1mana::symg::symg::symg::symg::symg:
Legendary Creature - Insect Giant {M}
Trample, rampage 3
Whenever you are dealt damage, put a 4/4 green Insect Giant creature token with trample named Ohmu onto the battlefield.
If Lord Ohmu would be put into your graveyard form anywhere, shuffle it into your library as long as you control a Forest. The anger of the ohmu is the anger of the earth.
6/6
Cool flavor. Now the first thing that popped out at me was the mana cost- FIVE colored mana?! Wow, this essentially demands mono-green. The abilities are all cool, everything's nice except for the end of the last ability- you could have removed the "as long as you control a forest"; it only adds more text to the card. 80 B
Nope

Mythic rare, 6 mana blue counter spell... you just know it's gonna be awesome. This is a game ender, if any thing else. And it has splict second. Not a mind blowing card, but a very cool one. 90 A
Jediseer
Jedi Seer :2mana::symu::symw:
Legendary Crature - Jedi (R)
:symb::1mana:: Put a fear token on ~
:symr::1mana:, Remove a fear token from ~: Put an anger token on ~
:symrb::1mana:, remove an anger token from ~: Put a hate counter on ~
:symb::1mana:, remove a hate counter on ~: Put a suffering counter on ~
:symb::symb::symr::symr:, remove a suffering token from ~, Sacrifice ~: Put a 7/6 Red and Black Sith token into play with haste and fear.
2/5 "What has that got to do with anything?"
"Everything! Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you." -Anakin, Yoda
I'm not really a star wars fan myself, but I love how this card embodies the succession of good to evil, from nobility to cowardice, to hate, to suffering. You certainly win on the coolness scale. However, this is a card that I wouldn't play in a situation. First of all, it demands that you play a WURB deck, and if you calculate the total mana you need to play the 7/6, it adds up to 16 mana. SIXTEEN MANA! That's very impractical.
I think that if you made this card a bit cheaper, and only rather than WU, it would be much better. 70 C
Diven
Diven, Dark Sorcerer:2mana::symw::symu::symb:
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard {M}
First Strike
:symw::symu: ~ Gets +2/+2 and gains flying until the end of turn.
:symb::symb:: Put a corruption counter on ~. Whenever ~ has three or more corruption counters on it, sacrifice ~ and put a 10/10 legendary black Human Wizard token named Diven, The Corrupted with flying, haste, and trample onto the battlefield. Though he fought to remain pure, the sorcerers blood that flowed in his veins foretold of the dark destiny he would one day face.
3/4
This is overpowerd even as a mythic rare. It's a five mana 3/4 first striker that becomes a 10/10 (with haste, flying, and trample) the very next turn. So play this, and pay BB next turn (it had summoning sickness the previous turn anyways) and swing with a 10/10 that essentially can't be blocked. OP.
I like the concept, but it's broken. No draw back what-so-ever. 50 F

The first thing that popped out at me is the flavor- very cool. Crusader's path is a fitting name for this card, and I loike the flavor text. Very cool card, though it's overpowerd for a rare. Play this with a good number of creatures against a [mana]BR[mana] (and Grixis/Jund) and this could easily be a turn 5 win. 90 A

This is in no way Brofaux's fault, but I notice a pattern with the more complex WiJ challenges. The criteria allows for more open interpretation, leading to a wide spectrum of different kinds of entries, which as a result takes more time to judge than a contest that wants you to make a demon for example. In a contest like this, with no stipulation on the design itself other than the name, every card could be completely different in every way.
I think this particular contest is a good indicator that we should keep in mind how long it could take to judge our IIW challenges before we post them.

Enchantment (MR)
When Surging Chaos enters the battlefield, destroy four lands at random.
Whenever an instant or sorcery spell is cast, flip a coin. If it comes up heads, copy that spell. If it comes up tails, counter that spell. (The controller of that spell may choose new targets for the copy.)
All creatures attack each turn if able.
All creatures block each turn if able.
"Law and order are just two more structures for me to destroy."
-- Chandra Nalaar
Very cool card; I just don't think that the colors fit. This would have been great as a RU card, but the spell copying and countering doesn't fit red at all. Everything thing else is perfect. 80 B
Ohmusama
Legendary Creature - Insect Giant {M}
Nope
Instant-Mythic Rare
Split second
Target player puts his or her hand, and all spells he or she controls on top of his or her library in any order.
"I thought that I understood counter magic. That was before a single spell set my research back 7 years"
-Anon Amos, Mage
Mythic rare, 6 mana blue counter spell... you just know it's gonna be awesome. This is a game ender, if any thing else. And it has splict second. Not a mind blowing card, but a very cool one. 90 A
Jediseer
Legendary Crature - Jedi (R)
:symb::1mana:: Put a fear token on ~
:symr::1mana:, Remove a fear token from ~: Put an anger token on ~
:symrb::1mana:, remove an anger token from ~: Put a hate counter on ~
:symb::1mana:, remove a hate counter on ~: Put a suffering counter on ~
:symb::symb::symr::symr:, remove a suffering token from ~, Sacrifice ~: Put a 7/6 Red and Black Sith token into play with haste and fear.
2/5
"What has that got to do with anything?"
"Everything! Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you."
-Anakin, Yoda
I'm not really a star wars fan myself, but I love how this card embodies the succession of good to evil, from nobility to cowardice, to hate, to suffering. You certainly win on the coolness scale. However, this is a card that I wouldn't play in a situation. First of all, it demands that you play a WURB deck, and if you calculate the total mana you need to play the 7/6, it adds up to 16 mana. SIXTEEN MANA! That's very impractical.
I think that if you made this card a bit cheaper, and only rather than WU, it would be much better. 70 C
Diven
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard {M}
Rudyard
Rare Sorcery
You may choose a card an opponent owns outside the game and exile it. As long as that card is exiled you may play it as though it was your hand.
Aznathom
Exalted
:2mana:: Choose one of this creature's abilities. Target creature gains that ability until end of turn.
'He bestowed upon his people the Rune Magicks, which he had rightfully stolen from the Witch-knot.' - The Culuth Chronicles
3/3
At first, I didn't really get this card, then I thought... "wait.. if I give THIS ability to another creature I control, then it can transfer one of it's abilities back to another creature." That's actually pretty cool, if it would work that way. Nice concept. But it's hard to tell how this card would actually play. 80 B
Crusader 8
Instant
Creatures you control get +2/+2 and have protection from Black and Red until end of turn.
Rally - If you control seven or more attacking creatures, creatures you control have lifelink until end of turn.
"It may be our war, but it is my crusade."
Bloodyspasm
Sorcery
Destroy target creature, put a -1/-1 counter on each other creature.
The plague spread through his blood...
Nothing amazing. Cool flavor though; kill a creature, and it's exploding corpse infects the other creatures. Would be better if it said "put a -1/-1 counter on each other creature you don't control" 75 C
DONE!
Erikcu won this one. Lot of cool entries, many creative ones, but I liked Erikcu's card quite a bit.
Erik, Cutthroat Captain :3mana::symb::symu:
Multicolored millcards in something other than dimir.
I think this particular contest is a good indicator that we should keep in mind how long it could take to judge our IIW challenges before we post them.
Because you cast it during your turn, on your main step, with the stack empty?
No, I didn't. you exile it when you cast it.
Because most spells have mana costs? It's the mana you have to pay to cast the spell? Basic rule of Magic? Not really understanding the confusion here, sorry.
Btw, it's been over an hour... just saying...

oh, as for your card, I agree that it's a bit wordy and doesn't read well. But it works as a sorcery.
