DeusofCalamity: The level progression of this guys abilities is nice, and I like the interaction between double strike, lifelink and deathtouch. That said, making it a 10/10 is just too much. C
Kev the Walker: This is solid but a little wordy, and I really don't like how you lose the equipment to get the guy- artifacts tend to be more durable than creatures, and if you just made the token legendary you wouldn't need the sacrifice clause. B-
bloodyspasm: I like the all-in feel of this mechanic. Normally taking things out of your library really isn't a drawback, but if you want to make this a 10/10 then you're probably not gonna see too many more creatures over the course of the game. Solid. A
hoyerhan: Cool mechanic, but it's a shame that you had to give the card such a steep drawback to keep it balanced. Very good idea, could use a slicker execution. B+
Brofaux: Shroud isn't really black or white, so I don't know why its on this card. Additionally, the bonus/drawbacks probably ought to be +1/-1 and -1/+1 ...as it is, this will probably wrath your board and effectively give all your white guys defender. B-
destinytrigger: Cool tension between shroud and its abilities. I also really like how its a leveler that can protect itself. That said, it's "ultimate" level seems pretty strong, especially since its tough to kill and can get there in a hurry. B+
Pendle: I wish you had pinned down the flavor on this guy a little better. As it is, it seems like a cool goofy rare that lacks some cohesion- why does it have persist? why is it legendary? B
ImpulsiveKnowledge: This guy is totally awesome, but he really doesn't need the "lose latent" clause at the end...keeping it as an offensive powerhouse seems perfectly fine. A-
Kensei: Interesting and solid bit of design. I wish you had attached a payment to the draining ability, because it seems like it could quickly get to the point where nobody ever wants to attack you, and that feels pretty strong for a 4 drop that already makes tokens. B
Megiddo: This guy is fantastic, not a whole lot to say. A
Emocakes: Repose is really, really strong, and not at all blue. That's about it, really. B-
nope: Seems about right. I wish you had done something mechanically to show that there's a benefit to destroying it though. B
CrimsonCrossfire: ...I don't get it. This feels like a worse version of the time spiral storage lands, and those didn't break anything or need to be legendary. Am I missing something here? B-
Actually I think I worded it wrong. Repose is actually supposed to stand for the clause "When ~ is tapped..."
I'm no rules guru, but I think the ability should read:
"As long as this is tapped..."
or
"When this becomes tapped..."
depending on how you want the ability to work.
I'm no rules guru, but I think the ability should read:
"As long as this is tapped..."
or
"When this becomes tapped..."
depending on how you want the ability to work.
The first one.
But it shouldn't be keyworded and then put in parenthesis because that implies that it's the same ability for each creature, that all creatures that have repose would have the exact same effect for being tapped.
However if anyone wants to give further input please pm me. I don't want to flood the thread with non-challenge stuff.
