It's easy to be cool when you can make an expensive, splashy effect. Designing a one-drop really makes you focus much harder on elegance. Make me a one-drop rare. Bonus points if it's mythic and feels mythic.

Because if this card, I won't bother entering. That is just awesome.
Illuminations - Mistmeadow Protector Balance: 8/10 - Seems reasonably balanced. Since this creature can be destroyed by just about any removal in the book, the protection that it grants doesn’t seem too broken. Creativity: 9/10 - I like the connection between Mistmeadow and casting cost matters. I also like how this kind of feels like Aether Vial. Game Changing Power: 8/10 - With all the other really powerful white weenies out there for WW, I’m not sure if this would be all that competitive against them, except as a sideboard tool to protect yourself against tokens. Total: 25
Xyre -Cultural Minister Balance:10/10 - Seems very powerful but not totally broken. Creativity:8/10 - Very creative, and an interesting way to stop changeling spells, and creature theme decks. Also seems to fit well into blue. Game Changing Power:9/10 - Definitely a killer against tribal decks. All round, a great creature. Total: 27
Charm Master3125 - Anonymous Balance:8/10 - Seems reasonably costed, and perhaps a bit undercosted. Creativity:6/10 - The sacrifice this if it would be dealt damage seems like a forced gimmick to make the card fit into a 2 casting cost. Seems a bit too similar to Relentless Rats. Otherwise, the flavor is good. Game Changing Power:5/10 - Seems kind of one dimensional, sure it would change the game, but it seems like this would change the game into a very boring game. Total: 19
Mobiusman - Commander Gailet Balance:8/10 - Seems reasonably balanced in most formats except prismatic. Creativity:8/10 - I like the flavor of picking your allegiance to a color. Very nice Game Changing Power:9/10 - If your opponent doesn’t have an answer to this in hand, this could be devastating. Otherwise it is pretty much a creature with a painted target on its back. Total: 25
Cannon - Collapse Elemental Balance:7/10 - Seems a bit undercosted as a way to destroy nonbasics Creativity:8/10 - Very nice flavor, I like the idea of an elemental that would take out the world when it collapses. My only nit-pick is that it seems a bit small to be able to do that. Game Changing Power:9/10 - Would definitely be a deterrent to playing nonbasic lands. I could see this greatly speeding up the game, and reducing the mana curve of decks. Total: 24
Opeth - Benighted Soul Balance:6/10 - Too cheap for a 2/2 two drop in blue and black. The sacrifice ability should have a mana cost. Creativity:8/10 - I like the concept, but the execution seems a bit clumsy. Game Changing Power:10/10 - Very powerful, being able to shut down any spell with a self-reanimating creature is very powerful, and game-changing. I would have loved it if it wasn’t so unbalanced. Total: 24
Hemlock - Boros Bully
Balance:10/10 - I can see this being printed as the next chase rare. Creativity:7/10 - The abilities are creative, however I’m not really sure how being a Boros Bully requires a sacrifice, that’s more of a Martyr than a bully. The name seems randomly tacked onto the body. Game Changing Power:9/10 - I great color hoser that is not bad as a bear. I really like it. Total: 26
Jqlgirl - Manabond Leech
Balance: 6/10 - I love it, but a 2/2 with such a damaging ability is pushing it a bit too much. Creativity:10/10 - I love the idea of tacking Manabarbs onto a creature, and leeches seem like the prefect creature type to use. Game Changing Power:9/10 - Very powerful, and would definitely have a major impact on the game. Total: 25
The winner is Xyre, Congratulations.

Illuminations - Mistmeadow Protector
Balance: 8/10 - Seems reasonably balanced.

Xyre -Cultural Minister
Balance:10/10 - Seems very powerful but not totally broken.
Creativity:8/10 - Very creative, and an interesting way to stop changeling spells, and creature theme decks. Also seems to fit well into blue.
Game Changing Power:9/10 - Definitely a killer against tribal decks. All round, a great creature.

Charm Master3125 - Anonymous
Balance:8/10 - Seems reasonably costed, and perhaps a bit undercosted.

Mobiusman - Commander Gailet
Balance:8/10 - Seems reasonably balanced in most formats except prismatic.
Creativity:8/10 - I like the flavor of picking your allegiance to a color. Very nice
Game Changing Power:9/10 - If your opponent doesn’t have an answer to this in hand, this could be devastating. Otherwise it is pretty much a creature with a painted target on its back.

Cannon - Collapse Elemental
Balance:7/10 - Seems a bit undercosted as a way to destroy nonbasics
Creativity:8/10 - Very nice flavor, I like the idea of an elemental that would take out the world when it collapses. My only nit-pick is that it seems a bit small to be able to do that.
Game Changing Power:9/10 - Would definitely be a deterrent to playing nonbasic lands. I could see this greatly speeding up the game, and reducing the mana curve of decks.

Opeth - Benighted Soul
Balance:6/10 - Too cheap for a 2/2 two drop in blue and black.
