There's a lot of cards getting posted on this forum, and I'd like to see some of them in play. A custom set is too much work for the average forumgoer (myself included), but that doesn't mean that together we can't make something fun. Instead of choosing design goals and trying to fill in a skeleton with determined archetypes and a metagame, let's just throw some cards together and play.
Here's how this works: post cards here. That's pretty much it. I'll gather them all together into a MWS/Netdraft patch. Then we draft/play with them and see how it went. It doesn't matter if some things are out of balance (they almost certainly will be) because we get to start over again and make new cards the next time around. I hang out in #draft4you on irc.solidirc.com and there are usually some people around that'd like to play even if they haven't made any of the cards themselves. I'll host the draft there and can also help get anyone get the patches set up if they need it.
Okay, there's more to it than just posting cards, there's a few rules.
I won't limit the number of commons you post, but for every uncommon you post, you must post two commons. For every rare you post, you must post an uncommon (and the two commons), and for every mythic rare that you post, you must post three rares (and three uncommons and six commons). That way we should stay safe from a flood of splashy legends and planeswalkers. Ignore This Rule Now. Now we need your rares.
post either a mws spoiler (link here), or a Magic Set Editor file of your cards. You can post your cards the normal way as well as the spoiler, but I need something I can copy/paste together to make the spoiler.
post the total number of cards for each color that have been submitted so far, including yours. Again, this lessens the workload for me and makes it clearer if a certain color is getting too many or too few cards.
no multicolor. This includes Invasion Gold, where the card is technically monocolor, but likes it when you play another color. Factoring them into the color balance is way too complicated, so I'm just banning them until we've got a few iterations of this idea under our belts.

try to make your cards as broad as possible. You have no idea what other people will post, so effects like "all elves get +2/+2" probably won't be very fun.
In case people have trouble making cards in a vacuum, I typed up a bit of flavor for this 'project'. It should be vague enough that you can add your own bits of story/setting to it, but gives you somewhere to start from.
Planeswalkers tend to have "territory", a collection of planes whose mana lines they use frequently and whose creatures and spells are of particular interest to them. Some planeswalkers--like the ones we see on cards--tend to stick to one "home world", but most connect with several. However, a few don't claim ownership of any planes. Travelling the outermost regions of the multiverse, these wizards seek out strange and impossible things, strange and impossible even by the standards of a wizard that travels between dimensions. It's these travellers that the set focuses on.
The plane that we design for is the one and only place that a "gypsy" planeswalker would visit twice, because it is the "local pub" of the multiverse. Planeswalkers come to compare journeys, sharing creatures and spells that they've discovered. They tell stories, compare each others' findings, and compete amongst themselves. We've seen Jace's Ingenuity and Garruk's Packleader before, and here we get to see the magic created by other greater mages. What does Isnad's Ingenuity look like? Or Cick's?
The plane is obviously a dangerous place even for planeswalkers: Magical brawls break out frequently when such powerful wizards are in such a small area. Dangerous monsters are created when spells combine in unexpected ways. Even the plane itself has a few (at risk of understatement) oddities about it. They might be scars left by past experiments or simply leftovers of the world it was before it was claimed by these "drifters", but whatever the causes are they do seem out of place even in this world devoted to weirdness.

Guys, you don't have to put the MWS cards in individual spoiler blocks like that if you don't want to. I'm just going to be going through and copying them into a big notepad file at the end, so you can just leave them in a big spoiler block at the bottom of your post if you wanted to save time.
Also, MWS doesn't like line breaks in card text boxes. If you want to put something on a separate line, you put two spaces before it. Like Annoying Pinpricker has "Shroud CARDNAME is unblockable" and not "Shroud

shadowfenix, I've got a few comments on your cards because you may have missed a few things when making some of them. You don't have to make any changes if you don't want to, just make sure you've thought through these possibilities.
The permanent sorceries are common, so you'll probably see more than one a lot of times. They may get exponentially better as you get more and more of them.
Pingers are really good in draft, so Plaguing Echoes could be really powerful, especially since it can't be killed by removal like Prodigal Sorcerors can or Naturalized like an artifact or enchantment can.
Echo Edge copies can still be stacked onto one creature, since the equip ability doesn't need the creature to not have an Edge on it to target it like the copy ability does.
Echo Edge's copying ability will be on all the copies it makes, so you won't be able to stop the replicating with a simple shatter.
Dwarven Bar Brawlers is incredibly cheap for what it's doing. Two relevant cardshere that are both totally playable at their costs.
Double Strike and Haste aren't and have never been blue, but you probably know that already.

Strongsilver Elite is a little weird. Flamestrength Elite gets +X/+X when blocked and it has trample, so that's synergistic. Strongsilver Elite gets +X/+X when blocked and has...vigilance? That's more of a defensive mechanic; a boost when it gets blocked seems counterintuitive.
The green mechanic giving +X/+X when blocked or blocking would fix the problem and not be overpowered (the whole cycle is rather underpowered, after all).

There's a lot of cards getting posted on this forum, and I'd like to see some of them in play. A custom set is too much work for the average forumgoer (myself included), but that doesn't mean that together we can't make something fun. Instead of choosing design goals and trying to fill in a skeleton with determined archetypes and a metagame, let's just throw some cards together and play.
Here's how this works: post cards here. That's pretty much it. I'll gather them all together into a MWS/Netdraft patch. Then we draft/play with them and see how it went. It doesn't matter if some things are out of balance (they almost certainly will be) because we get to start over again and make new cards the next time around. I hang out in #draft4you on irc.solidirc.com and there are usually some people around that'd like to play even if they haven't made any of the cards themselves. I'll host the draft there and can also help get anyone get the patches set up if they need it.
Okay, there's more to it than just posting cards, there's a few rules.
In case people have trouble making cards in a vacuum, I typed up a bit of flavor for this 'project'. It should be vague enough that you can add your own bits of story/setting to it, but gives you somewhere to start from.
The plane that we design for is the one and only place that a "gypsy" planeswalker would visit twice, because it is the "local pub" of the multiverse. Planeswalkers come to compare journeys, sharing creatures and spells that they've discovered. They tell stories, compare each others' findings, and compete amongst themselves. We've seen Jace's Ingenuity and Garruk's Packleader before, and here we get to see the magic created by other greater mages. What does Isnad's Ingenuity look like? Or Cick's?
The plane is obviously a dangerous place even for planeswalkers: Magical brawls break out frequently when such powerful wizards are in such a small area. Dangerous monsters are created when spells combine in unexpected ways. Even the plane itself has a few (at risk of understatement) oddities about it. They might be scars left by past experiments or simply leftovers of the world it was before it was claimed by these "drifters", but whatever the causes are they do seem out of place even in this world devoted to weirdness.

I'm still amazed something like this hasn't been printed yet. Burn spell are always used on creatures, so giving a bonus for using on a player makes the spell much more interesting.

The permanent sorceries are common, so you'll probably see more than one a lot of times. They may get exponentially better as you get more and more of them.
Pingers are really good in draft, so Plaguing Echoes could be really powerful, especially since it can't be killed by removal like Prodigal Sorcerors can or Naturalized like an artifact or enchantment can.
Echo Edge copies can still be stacked onto one creature, since the equip ability doesn't need the creature to not have an Edge on it to target it like the copy ability does.
Echo Edge's copying ability will be on all the copies it makes, so you won't be able to stop the replicating with a simple shatter.
Dwarven Bar Brawlers is incredibly cheap for what it's doing. Two relevant cards here that are both totally playable at their costs.
Double Strike and Haste aren't and have never been blue, but you probably know that already.

Tranquilo, you're going to post spoilers for those, right?
Strongsilver Elite is a little weird. Flamestrength Elite gets +X/+X when blocked and it has trample, so that's synergistic. Strongsilver Elite gets +X/+X when blocked and has...vigilance? That's more of a defensive mechanic; a boost when it gets blocked seems counterintuitive.
The green mechanic giving +X/+X when blocked or blocking would fix the problem and not be overpowered (the whole cycle is rather underpowered, after all).
