I've been away for a while working on some big orders. Pretty unfortunate as I really take pleasure being a part of this community. Demo's stuff has been insane lately. Makes me want to work on some originals. Suppose this simple piece will have to suffice for now:
Why would you not sign your work? I sign mine, cardkitty signs his... I guess I don't see why you would not want to take credit for your work.
I never have signed my work. It's not about taking credit because that isn't important. For most people it's branding, but that's also not something I care about. What I DO care about is the aesthetic qualities of each and every mark within a composition and signatures are marks that I read as a part of the overall design. Why put something in an image when it's not part of the image?

I consider it fine for illustration, if I was planning a serious art piece though, I definitely wouldn't. Not saying that illustration isn't one of my favorite forms of art, I just think it goes with the territory.
I am really Liking the homer doughnut O-Ring and the ponder is so good as far as the lands go i feel like the mountain just doesn't seem right some how but the island is really cool its probably that you re did the whole image in the island rather then just adding a person to the existing but i may be wrong i'm just saying

i really think youre work is fantastic, i just think youre signature is distracting and takes away from otherwise beautiful cards. maybe try coming up with a smaller less intrusive sig, just a suggestion.:D
Thank you very much for the compliment! I am only a beginner so I would gather that I am off to a good start. As for my sig, I really want it on there. Would you recommend making it smaller?
Thanks again for the feedback.

I actually like that people sign their work, that way i can identify it with them :). I think the signature is out of the way and small and neat! Also the alters themselves seem thoroughly done Great job!
My second Mtg alter! once again the scanner killed the color, but i still really like how it turned out.

i would go as small as you can (at least half as small, but that may be just my thinking). i do like signing your work though for sure.
This one was a challenge. I really had a hard time mimicking the blending of the color in the top part of the card. I am sure it is just experience or lack thereof. I did sign it a bit smaller as well.
One problem I am having is the card starts warping after my first layer of paint (I am doing a textless alter). I have had peopletell me to use less water or whatever but I rinse my brush off then wipe it dry on cloth then add the pain then paint. Is there something I am missing?
Card warp is something I cannot seem to avoid

"Fun fact about me: I home brew my buddies meta deck. He went from having a much lower ranking then me to a significantly higher rating since I started doing this."

I've only done a few cards (badly) but I've never had a warped card. What kind of paint are you using?

JoAnn Acrylics. Just a Generic brand, I would assume the brand has little to do with it, but I could be wrong.
Sometimes the warping is just too bad for the card to be usable, other times it is just a slight warp to it.

ok those Hierarchs are really tight. I love 4-Seasons playsets
Speaking of themed playsets, anyone seen fourhorsemen recently? He did some really cool armageddon themed things too
