Last I heard wasnt Gideon going to ranvica to gather planeswalkers to help against the most powerful and deadly creatures in the whole multiverse?
Why is he pottering around with the boros girl? I can see getting help from 1 guild might be good but shouldnt he be looking for planeswalkers not playing ranvica peace keeper.
(maybe im just annoyed the biggest threat to the multiverse and after 3 sets wizards havent even said a word about it)

We haven't heard much detail yet. Hopefully he'll be featured in the next novella or some story at some point. As it is, he saw injustice on Ravnica and decided to deal with it. It's possible he was unable to find the Consortium (not surprising, since it doesn't exist anymore) and gave up, or maybe he just has a short attention span.

Maybe Gideon doesn't know Ravnica that well, and he figures the best way to find the Consortium is through the Boros. But in order to get them to help him, he needs to help them first. And he's not too opposed to the idea, because Gideon strikes me as the Superman type, unable to just let injustice happen without stepping in if he can.
He's trying to prove to Aurelia that he has the qualities of a leader. Not entirely sure how getting the support of the Boros will help with the Eldrazi, though.
Even if not for "short attention span", switch from "I'll gather forces to stop the biggest threat to Multiverse" to "oh, I'll help not-so-damaged Ravnica on my way", while looking rather... reasonable, still left some spots on image of Gideon as selfless knight in shining armor. Maybe that's just me.
I have a feeling it was simply a note. Like Sorin did. Sorin knows the Eldrazi will have to be dealt with, and he'll probably have to deal with them, but the fight can be put off and other things need to be dealt with more imminently.
Perhaps people do not believe him, or are simply not willing to divert their attention and ressources to a distant problem?
Maybe he's like the scientists who has discovered an asteroid on collision course, or a hostile extraterrestial force, but whom the governments do not take seriously.
So pretty much any Roland Emmerich movie.
Anywho! If there is no literature yet he could be trying to do many things. Is he aware that Jace is also on Ravnica and that Jace was not only on Zendikar when the Spawn hit the fan but is one of the few responsible? (Whether Gideon knows that or not I'm unsure. Whether Jace even knows I am unsure too. Not a story expert but I do eat this stuff up!)
Hopefully Dragon's Maze won't just be about Niv's schemes but what Gideon is trying to accomplish as well.

My work schedule requires me to work several doubles, so it may take me a couple of days to respond to messages.

The short answer to all those questions is "no".
Jace is aware something is up, but doesn't realize he was part of the problem.
Of course, the Titans didn't escape until six months after he left anyways.
"What's that? The world is in trouble? Ok. Going to go off and do guild/side quests for days on end instead. They'll be waiting for me when I get back."

You've got a rat in your walls, and cheese won't solve anything.
So, we've gotten an update for what it is exactly that pushed Gideon to postponing his search.
While the Eldrazi are a definite and catastrophic menace.... The entirety of Zendikar doesn't compete with even just the guildless population of Ravnica. There are more lives hanging in the balance on Ravnica than there are on Zendikar.
Zendikar in its entirety is in more danger, but it's not working. He's about to put himself in between her and the guildless. If Aurelia is going to be brought down, I have a feeling Gideon is going to be the one doing it.
And maybe Feather will enter the scene.

Well, I guess that makes sense but, I still have issues with his priorities. I would buy him being black mailed into such a situation but, whatever. It's answered and I guess I have to live with it.

Put it this way, he knows he can't do crap about the Eldrazi alone, and the population of Zendikar isn't as large as the population he CAN do something about by himself.
He approached the Boros because he was hoping he could talk sense into them and curb their aggression into protecting others... hasn't been as successful as he hoped and he hasn't had any luck finding allies for the other problem.
Let us hope Dragon's Maze brings him those allies or at least a Niv Mizzet that can planes walking through whatever means or something equally awesome.

The bit about Feather is just my speculation since her ideals are a lot closer to Gideon's goals and he's being set up to oppose Aurelia.
Everything else is stuff from the guide.

Thanks, I now really hope Gideon and Feather team up to take down Aurelia. Ever since we got the Krenko story I've wanted Aurelia to be overthrown.

As I've said on another thread, Gideon is becoming MTG's version of Steve Rogers and Kal-El. he's the hero's hero. yeah, he's still trying to find a way to deal with the Eldrazi problem, but he's not going to ignore the suffering of innocents in any situation. He's going to step in and do his hero thing, and then get back to the business at hand.

Now I just sort of wish I could get a montage of Gideon set to "I'll Make a Man out of you".
It seems like the song would fit him well enough.

According to uncharted realms Gideon stopped caring about Zendikar and joined boros to help and try and clean up the streets of Ranvica and reclaim the ninth district for boros again. From the short story it seems like Aurelia is using Gideon as her puppet and hiding info from him. I guess helping old ladys crossing the street is more important then stopping plane consuming horrors, who would of thought. Jace also left Zendikar to go get help on Ranvica, he also decided that the Eldrazies weren't that important and abandoned the idea.

A) You should read the thread before answering.
B) Jace never said he was getting help. He knew even less about what was going on than Gideon.

I can't reread it at the moment, but I seem to remember something about that from the Eldrazi webcomic. Jace went to that merfolk library and learned a bit about the gods, then wasn't he intending to check Ravnica for similar info? Not exactly leaving to get help, but I remember being left with the feeling that he might return after he learned a bit more.

He left to see if the Consortium had any info that might be relevant... but apparently the entire affair left such a bad taste that he didn't go back to Ravnica immediately and by the time he did return he finally felt like he shouldn't be part of the Consortium and just went his own way.
